Recently came back to total war after years of not playing. And its just as good as I remember, all the physics in this game work great and is a fun way to pass time. I have a 2021 Macbook Air and it runs very smooth.

So I begin playing the toutorial and I relize that I need a mouse to play. the battles are really fun but Ic an not play without a mouse. If you can update the game to not need a mouse that would be great. Thanks!

Recently came back to this game after years of not playing. I think the AI in vastly improved from what it was when the game was released. The AI actually attacks now, such as running cavalry around the side of your formation to attack cannons/light infantry. I have a 2019 MacBook Pro and the only issue I have playing this game is that sometimes the audio malfunctions on the campaign map, but the issue resolves when I hit the end turn/next turn button.

I'd love to play it but within five minutes of loading the game it overheats my computer. And I have tried on all the lowest graphics settings and that barely changes anything.
  • too many crashes on 64

Playing campaign and seems really compleling but crashes even after a reload. too bad 64 bit version is not giving you the full game with multi player option. Seems like certain areas of map cause strange noises, save and restart and continue playing on new iMac with up graded graphic card and ram. who would think, game is so good I can't give up campaign, got it all but Moscow in the winter after many hours.
  • Screen shakyness when cannons are fired

Is it possible to have the option to reduce the shakyness of the screen when cannons are fired? It is a bit annoying with shakyness. That's why I still like empire total war.

This is my favorite Total War game. I love the time period and the port to Mac is pretty good. The 64bit update brought noticable performace boost to the Mac version of the game thanks to the Metal API. The only con, is the unit flags do not appear on units during battles even if they are toggled on in the settings. But im sure that will be addressed in a future update. All in all, 5/5!
