  • Disapointing

I spent over 6 hours of my weekend trying to connect my RP401R to the app. I am very frustrated as the connectivity was one of my primary purchase driver. I can't believe I purchased a brand new digital piano, over 1,150 usd and this thing does not work.
  • App won't pair with Roland

This app does not work. I've done trouble shooting with the manual and Roland with no success. I've updated the app, my piano, and my iPad but it will not pair. This app was a big selling point for the Roland dealer and was the reason I bought this particular piano as opposed to the previous year model at a deep discount. Very disappointed.

The only aspect of this app that works with the rp400 is the flash card. Connects with ad hoc but not wps.

Current application version doesn't support Roland F-140R. Please update.
  • Waste of money

WARNING: crippled for the f-20. The digiscore functionality isn't supported, so no playing along to sheet music as in the videos. You can play the built in songs sans score and get flash cards, which every other piano app supports anyway thru the built in iPad mic. Bought the net gear usb wifi for nothing, total waste of money.
  • Doesn't work with 140

After turning it on and off several times the app will see the 140, however, it will not let you use any of the app features. I can use the 140 with garage band and all of its features, doesn't do me much good with this app though. This app needs an upgrade!!!
  • More features needed!

I love that I can see what music is on my HP 506. What would make this app wonderful would be having the same features as the HPi digiscore...is there a reason why we can't?
  • Localization setting required

I have F130R that I purchased when I was in Japan. To my disappointment, all the text is shown in Japanese (instrument lists, song lists, etc). I’d love to see a setting button to change the localization in the future update.
  • OK but should be so much better

Owners of the excellent Roland LX-15 deserve a better app - the connectivity here is a great start - but needs a lot more features to be truly useful: - should allow playback of more than one song at a time - should allow download of additional songs directly from within the app with option to store on iPad or LX-15 - should show notes as they are played on blank sheet music - should have many more interactive games to help teach music - why not just copy the features of the HPi-50?
