Great idea to have the ability to program the GT-1000 on phone. Room for improvement: - when importing back from backup to GR-1000, the instructions are not easy to understand. -needs horizontal view -once you save a stomp box, I wish it would refer to it by the name I gave it. -this one is less about the app but the GT-1000-BRING BACK THE MANUAL MODE!!

Updating/changing the order of effects is super awkward and difficult.
  • Fun so far! One problem though...

Great editor for Boss’s latest multi- effect, the GT-1000. If I have a single criticism, it would be that this editor should have landscape mode implemented-especially for iPad. Portrait mode is fine, preferable even, for the iPhone form factor, but is impractical for iPad-particularly with regards to integrating the GT-1000 editor into a useful work flow. Portrait mode only for iPad doesn’t work. Consider iPad audio-docks or the fact that most other Audiobus apps are in landscape mode. I hope that the Boss IOS dev team read this first review, & consider incorporating landscape mode in the GT-1000 editor’s next update. I really want to give this app 5 Stars!

The hardware is still in initial delivery stages so there is probably a lot of headroom for future enhancements. I haven’t used this with the unit yet, so this is for initial release in offline mode only. App needs a landscape mode. Badly. The signal chain flows horizontally which really begs a landscape view. Stompbox settings are ignored. Writing from/copying to preset aha no affect. Stompbox titles are not stored. “Parametric” is spelled “Prametric” in the EQ block. Haven’t figured out how to open a preset downloaded from Tone Central. You can download the libraries, but not open any of the presets in he editor. The basic UI seems fairly ergonomic and intuitive. I look forward to a fully functional version. The ability to edit and control the GT-1000 with an untethered iPhone or iPad with a color multi-touch screen will be very welcome.
