Description

The easiest way to keep a video diary on your Mac. SIMPLE RECORDING Click "Add" to add a new diary entry and then “Record”, and the application starts recording video from your webcam (you can select a different camera). Click “Done”, and your video is saved. (You can give it a title if you want). That’s it, nothing to learn, nothing to configure: it just works. SEARCH VIDEOS OR BROWSE IN CALENDAR Your recordings are automatically arranged by date, so you can browse them using the calendar. You can also search your recordings by title; results appear instantly as you type. EASILY EXPORT FOR YOUTUBE Video Mémoires saves your video diary using the industry-standard format, and it is automatically backed up if you use Time Machine. You can easily export videos for sending or uploading to YouTube by clicking Entry > Export in the top menu.

  • Needs a lot of features

This app is simple and good on a very basic level for keeping a video journal. That is basically all it can do, however. In fact, there's no settings menu of any kind, nor any other obvious features available. For example, given the amount of videos one would expect to record over time, it is logical that an external drive or even cloud drive would be where the videos and even database would be stored, but instead you're stuck with your own hard drive. Which means you'd better have an active backup going, or your journal is gone the moment something goes wrong with your computer. I'm using BackBlaze to cover my tail for restore there. Also, if you want to make your video outside of this app, such as importing videos you made while on vacation, well that isn't an option, either. Speaking of which, it doesn't do anything with Location Services, so if you've got this on a laptop and are doing videos in different places, that's not going to be recorded, either. It's quite clear this app needs a lot of work.

This is what I wanted: A simple way to make video diary entries. Confusing at first but went to the website for some simple answers. Click record, a recording is made. Click done when done. You see the recording in front of you. To save it, click on the thumb nail and and pull it off the application. You can rename it then. Simple enough. I suggest adding your own date or comment to it if you like or some key words after the date. Simple easy to use and a good app.
  • Good start…but I want more

Please PLEASE PLEASE protect this through password. Also, a writing component underneath the video entries would be great. That way it would be easier to remember what I talked about in the video…that way I could also write an entry if I feel more of the need to write than to talk. Good start. I love the calendar view of the entries. It is very neatly organized and user friendly. I would just like more privacy and more journaling options.
  • There should be a Premium Version of this somewhere. Great and simple concept, but poor execution.

I just purchased this app for my personal video journal. Any plans on expanding and improving video memories? It seems very bare bones. I have listed some features that would be great additions below: 1) Password Protection 2) Emotional Meter or something like that 3) Weather integration 4) Tags for repetitive themes 5) Notes to input diet and exercise, extracurricular, significant events 6) Different themes or skins 7) OSX Lion Optimization 8) Desktop integration (toolbar) 9) Wallpaper integration 10) Memory and Space optimization 11) Hidden folder for videos/journals 12) multiple user feature 13) Publishing capabilities 14) Remote Storage and Access I could go on and on, but it would be nice to see some basic features and perks in some updates for clunking down 14.99 on a basic video app that just has a calendar. Seems like I could have just used PhotoBooth or iMovie and saved my videos into a folder and categorized the videos by date. Love the prospect of this application but it needs some serious upgrades and features to be worth me submitting positive feedback and recommending to friends.

This application does not reopen without first closing it out completely.
