U-verse

The previous version was excellent. The GUIDE included local channels which we could use to record programs while our for the weekend. Now, the app is designed for watching tv on your iPad but all we really need is a GUIDE WITH LOCAL CHANNELS so we can see what programs are scheduled and have the ability to record them. Please change your app or bring back the old app as a GUIDE option.

Been a uverse customer for many years, retired AT&T employee, this app is totally useless. No support for users. If you have it delete it. Worst.

Was just forced to upgrade to this version of the app. We use the app it to keyword search shows to record, that works fine. We also use it to sort by favorite channels. It lost all of our saved favorite channels with the update. (They are intact on the actual DVR, but not seeing a way to sync with any device besides the phone the app is on.) Ok, small glitch. I went to select favorites again fresh, and most are missing from the list of selections! All available channels are there on the app’s Guide, but not as choices for the app’s favorites? Most obvious example: of 1004 (fox), 1005 (nbc), 1008 (abc), & 1011 (cbs)… only 1005 is an option in favorites! In the live tv guide - we use this feature 2 ways: (1) to scroll ahead by time, or by choosing another day at the same time. Choosing other days works. But trying to scroll to the right hour by hour gives the spinning circle and then dumps you ahead several hours, missing data in between. (2) to click a channel in the leftmost column then scroll down through all listings in that channel only. This feature appears to be removed. The channel is not clickable at all. These glitches were found in the first few minutes. We will keep exploring, but it really seems that they failed to port over basic functions. Let’s make this better, please!

This used to be my favorite app. I could set up shows to record from the app whether I was home or not. Now all the channels I pay for aren’t listed or they’re locked. Particularly annoyed I can’t set up Cub games through the app anymore on the Marquee network. I’d gladly download an older version that worked if there is a way to do that! We pay a lot of money to AT&T for phones, Uverse and internet. We have been loyal AT&T customers for many years. This has me rethinking my loyalty!

This app use to be good. Absolutely useless now.

This update is so bad that you may question whether they’re intentionally making it useless. It’s like they said oh let’s make it a little prettier than before but don’t worry about usage at all, since the customers aren’t going anywhere just for this issue. And they don’t want to pay any competent techs to fix anything. This app has too many problems to list. Pathetic.

After the update you can no longer access the guide or record shows from the app. That’s the only reason I ever used the app.

The update that was supposed to provide better customer experience has rendered the app even more useless than the previous version.

I really, really hate the new version

Revised app is terrible. The guide no longer shows any of my local channels. NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX no longer there. So I can’t choose to record any of them or view any of them. How can I get the old U-Verse app back! Also discovered that some of the described features are not there when I log in with my UVerse account. Such as there is no Guide tab. Just a live tv tab which doesn’t have the local channels. Maybe there’s a bug in the system depending on what loginyou have? Guide now shows local channels, but only if you disable live feed every time you log in. But the guide no longer identifies show you’ve schedule to record on the guide itself. And when you go to the recording tab, can’t easily find you recordings, and it doesn’t show everything that’s been recorded or scheduled.
