this is actually such a cool game! i’ve been playing since it released from all the ads on instagram and i don’t regret downloading it. i’ve had a good time enjoying it, attempting battles, pulling cards, and seeing progression throughout the game in general!!

why are there so many notifications?! i’ve been sent 12 notifications within the span of 5 minutes after leaving the app. also the notification titles will be about diamonds and if you press them it’ll open the app but nothing happens. i like the plot but this is getting ridiculous

The rates for pulls are low and the guarantee SSR is at 500 pulls. That’s about 100,000 diamonds to get a guaranteed SSR and even then it’s up to luck on which SSR. The most outrageous thing that no game has ever done was charging diamonds to change your profile picture. Even when you have that character’s card, you still have to fork over your dia. Only redeeming quality is the story and the voice acting. Otherwise this would be 1 star.

I decently played for 4 days and all I can say is the game is only worth it for the story. At most I give the story a 6/10. But other than that, it doesn’t have much going for it. The pity system rate is poorly at 500 rolls. It’s such a cash grab. They’ve released other games where they just abruptly end it. So so be careful when spending money on it. They will not care to end of service it. I also noticed the use of AI backgrounds which is such a disappointment. Overall the game is horrible, please go play Twisted Wonderland for your buck and a long lasting game life.
  • Good story but horrible cash grab

Generally speaking, the game itself is good with a great story and tons of other functions and mini games, but the game is really set up as pay to win. Progressing in the game requires obtaining characters from the gacha but the pull rate of them is extremely slim. I’ve spent about $40 on the game and only obtained one SSR character. Paid resources in game are really expensive for the little amount you get and even then it won’t be worth it because the gacha isn’t going to give you a guaranteed SSR anyway. If you play this game it’ll be more worth it to not spend any money and take weeks to progress rather than spend money for just a slight possibility that you will progress faster.
  • Really enjoying! Just a few QoL suggestions

I know people were disappointed at the new turn the game took, but I’m enjoying it so far. I’m invested in the story and characters. However, for as fun as the story is I think the gameplay mechanics have room for improvement. There really is a sharp difficulty increase in the cases during episode 2, that I think could be lessened somewhat. I agree with another reviewer that suggested recommended party strength for each case, I think that would be helpful. I also think adding minigames or other ways to farm upgrade materials for cards would be helpful, as the campus/arena/camp areas very much rely on the passage of time, which can make the gameplay feel stunted. Perhaps as incentive for replaying the rhythm game levels? Finally, I think the guides could be updated, as some of them don’t really feel as helpful as they could be. Especially for the power gems you can add onto warding cards. I stumbled upon those completely by accident and don’t recall there being ANY mention of them in the tutorial at all, as well as the item bag being in the character tab. This seems like something that should be on the Home Screen bc most wouldn’t think to find it on the Character tab. I originally gave 5 stars but I changed it to 4 bc of the streamlining needed for the gameplay. I also think the main character should be written with more development, as she’s so far been pretty much a welcome mat, and any dialogue option that has her remotely stick up for herself is quickly shot down. But I am thoroughly enjoying the characters and story, and could enjoy the gameplay much more if changes were implemented! I think a lot of this boils down to it being a new game that is finding its footing. I can’t wait to see where it goes from here
