Description

Apple Design Award Winner. What the press said: “MASTERPIECE! Inside is a 2D puzzle platformer that builds upon what made Limbo great, and in fact builds something greater.” 10/10 – IGN “Inside expands on the concepts and scope of its predecessor in wildly creative ways, and it's so immaculately designed and constructed from top to bottom that it almost feels suitable for display in an art museum. This is one hell of a follow-up.” 5/5 – Giant Bomb “Gorgeous art and animations, devious puzzle design and a pitch-black sense of humor. A perfectly paced series of escalating "holy shit" moments.” Kotaku Winner of more than 100 awards, including: Artistic Achievement (BAFTA) Game Design (BAFTA) Narrative (BAFTA) Original Property (BAFTA) Best Independent Game (Game Critics Awards 2016) Best Independent Game (The Game Awards 2016) Best Art Direction (The Game Awards 2016) Spite Award (D.I.C.E. Awards 2016) Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction (D.I.C.E. Awards 2016) Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction (D.I.C.E. Awards 2016) Best Audio (Game Developers Choice Awards) Best Visual Art (Game Developers Choice Awards) You can now play Playdead’s award-winning indie adventure game on your Mac. INSIDE is a dark, narrative-driven platformer combining intense action with challenging puzzles. It has been critically acclaimed for its moody art style, ambient soundtrack and unsettling atmosphere.

I loved LIMBO and now INSIDE even more so. I keep coming back to it despite having played through a few times and went back to get the alternate ending. I wish there were SO MANY more games like this because I'd play them all, but I've tried the other non Playdead games that the web recommends as being "like LIMBO" or "like INSIDE" and none of them feel the way these games do. Thank you for this experience.

I bought the Mac version and I thought paying for it was going to allow me to download the iPad/iPhone version too, but looks like I have to pay $6.99!!!
  • Great game, BUT....

This is a great game, the graphics are beautiful, there's some heart-pounding moments, and decent puzzles. There's also an interesting story in the game, one that will leave you with 4,000 questions by the time you finish it. BUT I do have a couple complaints. For one, the ending is kind of unsatisfying, and remember how I said the game leaves so many questions? Well, none of them are answered. Finally, this game is incredibley short. For $20 this should take at LEAST a week or so to beat. But I finished it in 2 days. Nonetheless, this is an awesome game. I definatley understand why it has so many awards. Highly reccomend! Great job, Playdead!

Great use of shading and just enough red to make it come to life! Also thank you for fixing the "Game Center" bug that I found just after the New Year! BEAUTIFUL GAME!
  • Very enjoyable, but...

I really enjoyed Inside, but have one issue. There's no way to do a full reset of the game on macOS. This greatly diminishes the replay value for me, and makes it impossible for a family member to also enjoy the game. Could this be fixed in an update? Please say yes.
  • CANNOT GET PAST Apple Banner Once Game starts

Once INSIDE Loads “What’s New In Apple Gamer Center” appears, with no mouse/track pad cursor control. No keyboard buttons work. INSIDE screen is faded in the background with sound. Have to reboot to close out. Not able to play game at all. What should I do?
  • Not a Fan

After completing the game, I am sorry to say that I am not a fan. All the rave reviews set the bar high, but I am missing the point of all the hype. To start, I was a bit dismayed to find that it is essentially a side-scrolling game. I suppose I have spent too many hours in the world of Red Dead Redemption II, or Fallout 4. Once I adjusted to the limited movement, and view of the world around me,.the game play was interesting. Of all the puzzles impeding progress, there were a couple that made you scratch your head a bit. However, none of this makes up for the game just simply not making any sense. Once complete, you don't know amy more about what is going on, or what just happened. You don't win, overcome, survive, or achieve any great revelation. The game is just simply over, and you are sitting the thinking what did I just play?

I seldom leave reviews but this work of art requires it. Action, suspense, calm, wonder, fascination... these are just a few characteristics of this addiictive experience and engaging storyline. I could not put it down until I had to. Because it ended. I've been an adventure game addict since early Infocom Zork days, through Myst and RIven, and then anything that can live up to their artistic quality. This in their class easily. If I had one complaint, unjustified of course, is that it was too short! However, the ending feels like the setup for a sequal, so please put one out! I'll buy it the moment it drops.
