I've contacted LINE before and they simply do not listen. How difficult is it to have the EDIT function in sent messages and allowing for increasing font size on the desktop version. And no, "Extra large" is the max, yet still small. Other chat messengers do not have resolved these issues long ago.

Line has always been solid when it comes to encryption messaging services, sure there are bugs on the app as there is on any other. Most of the people that are complaining are using the English version of LINE which isn't as compariable to the Asian version of LINE. It's night and day, but I do agree that the developers of LINE need to improve the APP overall, they have fallen a bit behind when it comes to improvements.

Other parties do not get group call notification or ring. What is the point?! Please fix it!

Amid a ton of 'mobile-first' chat apps, it's refreshing to have a simple but intuitive desktop app. Unlike some other 'desktop apps', that are just a custom browser to their website, it's clear they've put in the efforts here. The desktop app is simple and snappy. Simple things like auto-login just work. All my stickers look cute and pretty in Macbook Pro.

I live in Japan where LINE is dominant, and like so much of Japan tech, it's an example of poor UI, non conventional app design/usability and then the "everything, everywhere, all at once" design approach that plagues so much Japanese digital design. I use this only because I have to, WA, for all its flaws and being owned by Meta is so much cleaner. Things that drive me nuts with web version: Not adhering to notification settings in Mac OS Why do I have to sign in EVERYTIME I change networks I turn off stickers because they make me feel like a 12 year old (not in a good way), but the setting always gets reset every update and they start showing up again as a type Data back up is hella confusing I wish I could turn off all the "VOOM" and other ad junk For Line overall: Why can I not sign in on 2 phones? I have a work and personal phone, sometimes I only have 1. If I change login it erases all the data? (unless I have backup going). What app, anywhere in the world woudl wipe all data just because I sign into another phone? Things I like about LINE .... .... .... (seriously, if there is something I find that it does better than Messages, WA, TG or any of the others I will definately come back and update this review).

As per the title, Line is my most hated chat app primarily because reading messages on the Mac version doesn't sync with Line on my iPhone, i.e. even when I read a message on my Mac, my iPhone erroneously shows me that I still have unread messaages. That's even though received and sent messages *do* sync, so they've clearly just missed a line of code somewhere and never bothered to fix it. Line does have better photo handling options than Whatsapp, however, and has had a convenient QR-based contact sharing workflow since forever, so that's worth a star or two.
