It is advertised as a workshop project & technical manual... i got all excited and purchased just to realize it is a magazine subscription. So now i have to purchase additional volumes. Why would i have to purchase an app just to purchase additional magazines. TOTAL RIP OFF

I paid a lot of money to subscribe to 12 issues of this mag and can not get them. Downloading the latest issue just crashes the app. Fix it or refund my subscription.

The mag is probably ok, but the app was a waste of time & money! Oh, had to give it one star just to get my opinion sent.

I am a subscriber to a few magazines through apps and this one rates highly by comparison. It presents a good example of the printed magazine, which I can have with me at all times on my iPad. The page turning animation could be simplified, but the zoom function and the navigation system is superb. I'm not sure what the other reviewers are complaining about as this app is like most other magazine apps where you get the app and then make purchases from it. Each issue is $4.99, and to get a big discount buy a subscription, just like the paper version. An issue of the magazine is included with the app purchase of $2.99 so you can try out the magazine, this is a lot cheaper that the gas it would take to get me to the nearest newsstand. This is all explained in the app description and perhaps these people should read stuff before complaining! Woodworking Plans and Projects is very readable, the magazine has superb content and is packed with great projects and techniques. Good job Guys!

Don't waste your money! You buy the app and get 1 magazine, then they want you to pay $4.99 for each magazine you want to see. You can at least preview a magazine in the store before you buy it, but not here. Total waste of money!
  • Do not pay for this app!

The app is simply a tool to buy their magazine. The only reason I rated this a 3 and not a 1 is because the magazine is nice. If the app were free I would rate it a 5. The customer should not have to pay for an app that basically has no content but only enables the purchase of the magazine. One other noteworthy item is that this is a British magazine and all measurements are metric and there are several terms used that require some translation (rebate vs rabbit). The magazine is very well laid out and the descriptions and pictures are very easy to follow. The interface is also very nice. Again, without having to pay for the app this would be a 5.
