  • Terrible at Screen Time Restrictions

The whole reason I got this was to set screen time limits. It failed miserably. The app would clearly say my daughter was out of screen time as I sat there watching her play games on her iPad. My kids got unlimited screen time as I tried to work with support to figure it all out. I finally got so frustrated I gave up and went back to managing screen time with the Cox Wi-Fi app. That one at least works.
  • Doesn’t work

The router blocks the direct links to the porn sites but doesn’t block anything when you go through a search site like Google or DuckDuckGo….even though those search engines are blocked! It’s IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of anyone to help! I don’t want to “chat” or email someone! I want to speak to a real person in real time within a reasonable amount of time. I have had my router about 3 months and it’s had several glitches where Iv had to completely reset everything. I think it’s a good concept but has a long way to go before it’s actually something worth buying.
  • Worst Customer Service Ever!

Decent router. Worst customer support. By far. My advice is to stay away from Gryphon. Far away.

App will ignore your notification settings and spam your phone with 50% discount promotions in the middle of the night.
  • Logout problem is back

The app works but when one user is logged in and another user logs in it logs the first user out without warning. They had this problem a while back then fixed it but the bug is back. It is important to have both parents’ devices logged in to the app at the same time PLEASE fix this again
  • 3 Years of disappointment

I was a premium customer for 3 years, still am till it expires. I was always hoping for more, but never got anything. NO VPN, really! My kids cannot use this expensive parental protection router away from home on their laptop—- a $35 cheap router can do VPN, but not gryphon. I literally could write for days of 3 years of problems.. No webpage interface, no documentation, a FAQ section that only answers the most basic of questions, she should add “make sure the device is plugged in”. I really wanted to like this product, I gave it 3 years and over a $1000 dollars. TOTAL WASTE for me. By the way, I spend 3 hours today calling the phone support— over and over— tells me after being on hold for 6 mins no one is available, so I keep calling back.. Never got anyone. A chat did end up telling me that there is no way to do a VPN, and that there is no way for gryphon to protect my kdis laptops while away from home… Hope this helps. By the way, if you are reading this, it means Gryphon never did get back to me.

Gryphon was down from 7pm to now at 9:16pm, 12/19/2023. I can not manage my router and update/check things. No support available. I also experienced outage regularly during holidays when the high usage might be the reason. If you have a router that needs to be managed through remote servers, you need to have 24x7 support and ability to handle usage spike
  • Poor UX

Makes the same mistake all other parental control tech makes and assumes one device = one person. There’s no way to differentiate profiles for a single device, so unless you’re buying a tv for every person in your house it’s going to be a mess managing controls for one.
  • Decent router trash interface

Where to even begin. Suffice to say, it crashes every single time I use it. And for something so critical in the home, why the clunky interface. Fire the dev team and get some fresh designers in. Jfc

Fetching Gryphon data, it will take about 1 minute - 27 minutes later, nothing
