Description

The U.S.Soccer Learning Center (USSLC) mobile app optimizes our planning tools for use on your mobile device and enables you to work offline. The new planning tools utilize both U.S. Soccer's Play-Practice-Play method for Grassroots Pathway courses, as well our standard method for the Professional Pathway courses. Please note- currently the app only provides our planning tools. Searching and registering for all coaching courses must be done on our website: https://learning.ussoccer.com. The Learning center is U.S. Soccer's online platform for all coaching education programs. You must have a USSLC user account in order to login to the app. Creating an account is free. Access to the planning tools in the USSLC is included with registration for any U.S. Soccer coaching course, or you can purchase an annual subscription. If you already have an account, sign-in to the app with your same email address and password. To create an account and gain access to planning tools- please first visit- https://learning.ussoccer.com

This is shockingly terrible. No part of this works correctly. As bad as the DCC is, this is a hundred times worse. It’s a complete train wreck. If you tried to make an app that was as most un-user friendly as possible, you couldn’t. What a disaster this is. I’m keeping it on my phone just to show my coaching friends how bad it is.

Tools are not displayed properly. It has potential to be a great app but it has a long way to go.
  • Good Idea

But needs to be pre-populated with the US Soccer training sessions which could then be tailored by coaches as they need to. Having to recreate them from scratch isn’t a good use of time.

I am unable to view anything that I have on the website. It appears this started after latest update. I cannot even create new graphics or sessions.

Just as buggy and clunky as the DCC. I have hundreds of sessions created and usually can’t see more than 2 or 3 and those that I can see have no graphics. Garbage. Fitting though - so is USSF coaching education model.

This app should be a mirror of the Digital Coaching Center online, and it is....sorta. On the app you can copy the training sessions from the preplanned sessions, which you cannot do on the website. That is a plus. Negative....when you close the app they no longer show up, but they show up in your library on the website....oddly frustrating. Another piece that is frustrating is they do not make it easy (on the app or the website) to actually build new training sessions. You get started but if you bail out and only get one exercise set forget trying to get back to the session to add other exercises. In fact i tried multiple times to add and every time it made the original training exercise (which took about 15-20 minutes to create) disappeared and i had to start form scratch again. All in all the fact that you can access training sessions is great but that is the only reason it gets a 3 star. All other reasons listed above make me want to go 2 star. I want to use this app for the benefits of the training sessions but i would rather print documents and carry them with me going forward.
  • In progress?

Maybe this is an example of the reason US soccer is still a work in progress. All I can find is one incomplete drill. Sure, I can make up my own but some ideas would be nice.
