Description

Designed for anybody owning one or more vehicles (cars, motorcycles, etc.), the Car Manager application allows you to store everything related to them: administrative information, insurance, fuel or maintenance expenses, mileage of the next maintenance, date of the next technical inspection, as well as your vehicle history. "Great for anyone who owns more than one car, Cars Manager lets you store lots of information on your vehicles to help keep them in great shape." - appolicious.com "Keep tabs on your vehicles with Cars Manager's useful, informational records notation fields which allow you to maintain your car without forgetting one detail !" - cooliphoneipadapps.com For each vehicle, input your fill-ups in a matter of seconds, to obtain an updated view of your expenditure, mileage and consumption. The application updates the overview and detailed statistics of your expenses: cost per spending category, cost per kilometre or daily cost. Non financial data, such as the change in mileage and average fuel consumption can also be calculated, and displayed in brief or in detail. A carbon footprint can also be calculated, depending on the consumption of the vehicle, as well as the mass of carbon dioxide (CO2) it produces (total and average per day and per mile traveled). Car Manager also allows all these data (costs, fill-ups, vehicle information) to be exported as a CSV file (comma separated values, which can opened and processed by Excel or any other spreadsheet program), should you feel the need to create your own customised statistics. The application automatically adapts itself to the units of measurement effective in your country: kilometres or miles for distances, litres or gallons for fuel. Freemium version, limited to 2 vehicles and 5 fill-ups/costs. An in-app purchase unlocks the full app capability (unlimited entries). Optimized for Retina Display.

Recently went looking for an app to track my Purchase, Maintenance, & Gas costs. Came across this app and saw it had an iOS companion app that syncs via iCloud and I went for it! Glad I did. I downloaded and reviewed the app and the options for creating additional data fields for what I want to track and I fine that it works just fine. What I have done in years past is scan in my receipts and save as PDF’s. This software allows you to view these files and attach it to a transaction as a photo for reference to the transaction. I hope they continue to improve and support both this app and the iOS app in the future. In the iOS version I wish the viewing field for notes were scalable or automatically sizes for the device. On my iPad Pro there is a lot of screen area available that could be used to see those text fields. Anyway Thanks KIWI Objects for making this available.

Any rudimentary excel spreadsheet will do what this program does. You must enter your receipts in chronological order. If you load receipts and then find that you missed one, the program will not let you go back and enter the missed receipt. Additionally, there are only a few categories to classify your receipts. I found that i must classify most of my receipts (other than gas) as “financial.” That does very little to help me understand my expenses.
