    For those of us who have not switched to exp stream we stiyneed the original exp app to manage our recordings etc
  • Cannot set up recording

    Latest version of app, now called EXP Stream, no longer allows me to set up recordings using my cable box. This is the only reason I want to use this now useless app.

    All of Armstrong is garbage and this app is no exception. When it starts trying to connect to a box, it sits and spins and you cannot stop it without deleting the app. I can’t wait until a new technology makes this stupid monopoly obsolete.

    UPDATE 8/3/23: Almost a year later and this P.O.S. app still won’t allow me to watch live TV or recorded shows on my iPhone or iPad. Armstrong is useless and has done nothing to try to resolve this issue. They blame TiVo. As a paying customer, this is unacceptable. Original Post: I can’t stream live TV or the shows I’ve recorded. This has been on going since Summer. However, I’m still being charged full price for a feature I am unable to access. Support said an update to the app will address my issues. That was months ago and the app still hasn’t been updated. This is pushing me even closer to jumping to T-Mobile for home internet and cutting the cable cord for good.

    Good app … for a while. Now it is constantly “Reconnecting” so that neither schedule or individual programs can be seen. What started out good is now just aggravating. This app gets worse by the day. I stand by my previous review. The only difference is that when it peters out, the message is “reload” instead of “reconnecting.” It’s useless.

    I have had the displeasure of using the EXP app from Armstrong for about a year. It rarely works and 9 times out of 10 either will not connect or can not find my box. Probably deserves 1 star if not 0 stars but every once in a while it will work. Can not and do not recommend.
