  • It really is a shame to have to do this.

Let me start by saying this is the best music making app hands down, however the lack of support is truly appalling. I’ve had this app for years, works perfectly on iPhone. However on my iPad it does nothing but glitch and freeze 5 seconds into opening the app. When I go to report an issue it says I haven’t purchased the app which is a clear lie, I’ve had it for over 4 years at the least. I’ve tried tirelessly to contact you guys and never get anywhere. For a whole entire year I’ve been trying to figure out what this issue is to no avail. This app desperately needs an update. I’ve had nothing but unpleasant experiences with this app on the iPad, and despite every effort I’ve made I’ve been unable to get help with this issue after an entire year of dealing with it.

iMaschine 2 has been eclipsed by multiple modern apps, such as Koala. The best feature of this app are the sound packs, which are no longer being produced for iMaschine 2. Inquiries to the company via their official product forum regarding plans for bug fixes and ongoing development were met with a response that the app currently is not a priority for the company. Finally, keep in mind that NI was recently acquired by a new parent company.

So I love the app, but I wish there were more sample packs available, there’s no reason why more couldn’t be made. Also a step sequencer for Melodies and writing music instead of playing it manually. The Quantum Collection Free Expansion pack won’t download anymore and I’m very frustrated by this. Please help.
  • Nice app

App is great, from working on ideas to actually making good decent songs/music. But I have to say that it’s sad that NI has not fixed the issue with the Quantum Collection not downloading :(
  • Their r sounds of the collected pack I cherry picked around.

The app does not crash. But does not load any new packs. My person not able to purchase. I go to buy. And nothing!! Idk if it’s my WiFi issues or what.((( my own WiFi issues have been check and confirm not an issue. ))) And the same from the collected pack. it registers dat I have bought items of the pack. but I can not buy “the complete pack.” Now I am aware there is a possibility the developers r not wasting any more time with this app. But there is a maschine 3 in the works. Field testing was “this app.” The limited features. And not responding after 2 years on reviews on iOS App Store. And u can not find Anything anywhere on native instruments website iOS development only “macOS” a big difference.

The app is pretty basic and more like a game than an actual production instrument. Sure you can purchase expansions but it would be nice if it offered more effects and greater control of the kits and instruments. Personally I’d be willing to pay more for something that was more capable and versatile.
  • Needs Major Update

I love NI products and I’m sure there are others that feel the same way. But the app seems to have been neglected and needs major updates. All the features now seem outdated compared to todays standards. I hope NI doesn’t forget about iMaschine.

The secret musical note pad they don’t want you to know about. For track drum machine, sampling keyboard. Oh, and a vocal track as well. Oh and the library of samples you can purchase. Oh, and you can bring your sketches directly into machine. It’s awesome. Does it do everything? No. It’s a tool, not a miracle worker. And as a music creation tool, it’s pretty dang nice. Been using it since version one, has never lost a single thing I put in it. Can export out your composition, can export out a wave file or stems. So now you know the secret.
