  • Informative post about this horrendous app

I'm hoping to inform drivers who are unaware like I was. I have been using a paid subscription mileage tracking app "Everlance" and it's been absolutely horrendous from the start(1 year of use approximately). I do Uber eats and doordash for context. Let me explain to you the troubles I have went through with the app and the trash support. I wanted something simple and accurate to track my mileage and turn it off when I am done. As simple as that it was staggering. Issues with the app and Everlance support 1. I click on automatic drive detection and proceed to dash thinking it'll track my mileage and times that I'm active. By the end I drove for example 115 miles 10 minutes tracked. Happened many times and can mess with taxes when I go to file. I cannot edit or change the times recorded as this is FINAL. 2. Support claims that they have no control over changing when I started and finished even when I provide the exact times for each dash. Not only that but support told me to delete the whole tracking recorded and to enter it manually. How can I do that with the amount of places, stores, addresses, or even times that I dashed? That's crazy. 3. Many times the app refuses to track even when automatic drive detection is on and have to refresh the app to get it working and even then it misses on in between trips when I'm not checking the app consistently. I have to watch it like a hawk to make sure it's tracking. 4. Support claims it's an issue with my settings and changed exactly what they told me to. For example, track the whole trip in one or track every individual trip. Nothing made a difference and actually made it much worse as now some individual trips fail to load. 5. Here's the worst part. Around 6 months ago when I dashed I had to manually end the mileage trip with the Everlance app which I was ok with. That had deleted the whole trip by clicking end. An update was issued for the app the day after to fix this and I can attest it did for a short while of manually entering everything I had done. 6. Updates ruin the app and do not fix issues like these for a simple tracker app. Stay away. Stay away from this app and switch to a FREE app called Stride which I should've done sooner. An app that I can fully rely on and trust to track mileage and times. I have full control over it with a simple "start" when I start dashing and "end" when I am done.
  • Buggy

When I first downloaded this app, I loved it. I made it very easy for me to track my miles for work as a realtor. But over the last couple of months it is showing every trip I take is a straight line and not correctly tracking the miles that I had traveled. It is also consistently telling me I have trips that I need to categorize when I already categorized those trips and then when I try to do it again, it gives me an error message. I don’t have time to be messing around with an app that doesn’t work or track my miles correctly.
  • Used to love it, now not reliable

I used to love this app and used it for several years for food delivery but after a recent update I started losing trip info. Ultimately I cannot pay for an app that will cost me even more money by preventing me from being able to claim all my business miles. I’m now only recommending MileIQ which is $2 cheaper a month and haven’t had any issues so it isn’t my GPS or phone settings and just the Everlance app.
  • Good app, hard to use for multiple stops

App works well, but it treats any stop as the end of a trip, so stopping at a gas station or swinging by a job on the way to a meeting ends up being multiple trips instead on one with notes. I’d like a feature that summarizes each day into one concise trip log. It would make it easier to report my mileage.
  • App issues for months now

I have been using this app for a few years to track my mileage. It worked perfectly up until the end of last year 2023. It’s been buggy and doesn’t seem to track as accurately as it once did. So I’ve been paying attention to updates to see if it improves. There has been a daily update to the app over the last 5/6 days. Which is what made me check on reviews and message boards about issues others are having. I’m considering getting a new tracking app at this point.
  • Portrait only is a dealbreaker

I go through my trips on an iPad in landscape mode, so a 90° screen isn’t going to work. Everlance has other problems, too, though, like if you expect it to just work, don’t. You have to check in every few days or, even though they continue to charge you, the app is disabled. It also starts trips late, doubles trips and even gives different mileages for the same trip, loses trips and then they pop up later, and just offers an unreliable tool that overall adds several hours per month to manual checks.

I love this app. It’s so affordable and it tracks both your mileage and your receipts. It makes it so easy for entrepreneurs to maximize their deductions.
  • Paid subscription, untrustworthy

For many months now, this app has no longer been trustworthy ! It consistently shorts me on miles, will not stay going for one long trip. Yesterday I had a business trip of 491 miles. which took. between 10 and 11 hours. It classified it as 476 miles in three different trip segments. I can no longer find the setting, which is supposed to keep it going during short pitstops/delays, which never worked the greatest anyways. I wish I could set it to record every 24 hour as one trip. or something similar. I will probably be switching back to android shortly. Hopefully this app does better on android or I will have to find a new subscription mileage tracker. I can’t stomach babysitting this app and double checking my entire trip Mileage.
  • Rural area problems

As a door dasher in a rural area, I have a tendency to lose network coverage. Everlance will shut down the trip without notice. according to the person I spoke to on the phone. This app requires continuous network connection. It does not store any information internally while off-line.

Where do I start? Automatic mileage tracking isn’t always accurate. Most times it records half of the trip. Then when I get to my destination, I have to manually stop it because the Shipt and Amazon Flex apps freeze up all the time. Uber Eats also gets hung up on the photo if this is running in the background.
