Description

Partia 3 is a SRPG (Strategy Role-playing) video game inspired by Fire Emblem and Tear Ring Saga series. In a high fantasy setting, the game will take players through an adventure where magic and sword collide and friendship and betrayal intertwine. Partia 3 : The Knight of Partia is the third installment of the Partia series that wraps up the 'Granian Trilogy'. However, the game is designed as a stand-alone set in hundreds of years after the events of Partia 2, hence no knowledge of the prior games is required. The game includes 30 stages (including 5 hidden stages) that should provide solid 30 plus hours of game play if not 50 or 100. It is not a graphically good looking game nor has the big sprite animated battles that Fire Emblem games have. UI can be a bit clunky and looks 'meh', in most places at best. But if there's any labor of love, this must be it. Despite the financial failures of the first two Partia games, I kept on making this game, alone for five years, putting all my free times and vacations into, because frankly I was obsessed about finishing off this thing. But I've had a lot of fun making it, and I still had more fun playing the game myself. I'm sure you will have some joy out of it, if you are a fan of Fire Emblem and Tear Ring Saga series. Now mobile game landscape has changed a lot since I started out this journey back in 2011. There are now a lot of quality games in the App store, including a Fire Emblem itself! I realized a few years ago I no longer served any good value to customers who were looking for a little SRPG experience on mobile. As I'm writing this, Partia 2 sold slightly more than 2K units in 5 years. So obviously this is not a money making venture, of which I hope my next idea is going to be, unlike this Partia thing. Anyways, the result is a paid game, with no ad, no IAP, and no catch anywhere. I'm not even tracking any data as, frankly I don't see a point in doing that. You see I am already resigned to the fate this little big indie game is for the lovers only. For The Lovers Only. So this may be the final time I write a game description on an App Store. Or maybe not. Whoever you are, I hope you enjoy. If you can, please let me know how you find your experience. Thank you! Dustin

  • Great game with major place for improvement

This is a great game for anyone who is fan of fire emblem, but I found one major place for improvement: The probability in this game is just horrible I don’t know what library you guys use in your code but for both stats growth and hit rate a lot of times it’s so frustrating to see no stat growth in 3 consecutive upgrade or no hit for a hit rate of 60%, this is why I hope you can add the load option inside the game menu because I need to keep reload game to get better stats during upgrade. I guess you guys probably want to add more randomness to the game but let‘s be honest no modern game does this nowadays and why not just change to make stats growth configurable to let players control the path?
  • I do not see why anybody is enjoying this game

Unless I’m missing something. This game is completely boring. The battles are lengthy, I feel like you’re grinding from the second fight. The miss rate is incredible. My guys are constantly missing their targets. And when they do hit it takes maybe 15to 20% of the enemies Life away which means I have to attack the same character something like six or seven times. And when it’s a battle that involves 15 to 20 enemies, I could spend an hour to an hour and a half on one battle. I can understand if this came later in the game after you got the player hooked. But my goodness what a snooze fest.

Absolutely amazing game! I was always a huge fan of the fire emblem games and have been searching for games that recreates that feeling and this game checks every box. Level design is awesome, story line is interesting, love the arena and the fact that I can have my own character (would like some more customization options in the next game). All in all great game can’t wait for Partia 4!

I just want to say the new additions to the gameplay within the game make this so more of an immersive experience. I’m so glad to see the direction of where the series is going, and it feels so thrilling to see the progress in storyline and gameplay throughout the trilogy. It also brings back so many memories of my childhood from games like Advanced Wars and Fire Emblem. Even though there are several typos and oddly placed dialogues, the game and story is still amazing in every other right. However, even though I’ve played the game several times now, I’m still curious as to unlocking the hidden stages...
  • Great Series!

I really like the Partia games! It gives me something to do when i'm craving more fire emblem. While there aren't any supports, it still has all the major things that make up a fire emblem game, and it's an enjoyable experience all around :) The only thing I'm missing for this installment is the growth rate list for all of the units. Is there anywhere I can find one?

Game displays in a small window on top right and has right edge cropped off. Would love to play it, hopefully display issue can be addressed.

Reminds me of playing old Shining Force games from a long time ago. It could use a few improvements to get the last star, but it is quite fun and under appreciated. 1)Needs some more documentation in-game: -The description of characters or classes should tell you what kind of role they play. Are Cavalier-S weak against something, or are they just categorically better than a swordsman? - took me a while to figure out how to equip armor. You should really be able to do this in the HQ. -what are weapon level and weight? And do they affect anything? Why would I wear Light when there is Chain? And why all those shields? - In the shops, you need a way of knowing who can use the item. How would you know a mage can’t use healing when you don’t even know there is a healer unit in the game yet? Or that half of the melee classes can’t use any armor or shield at all? - what’s the difference between the spells? Presumably some enemies are weak to different elements but how would you know? 2) I’m still kind of early in the game but character balance seems a bit off. Units that can take a few hits seem to level up very quickly. Ranged units do ok as well. Healers seem to get very very little exp for healing. Everyone else has to try to snipe a kill so that they don’t take the retaliation and be instantly destroyed. The further the game goes like this, the weaker they get, and the harder it is to make them useful. I realize that this genre often makes a few classes that start off weak but become very powerful...but that should be the exception not the rule. 3) You have to select your team before you have any idea what the battle situation will be. That takes all the strategy out of it. None of this breaks the game though, so I’m still enjoying it.
