Description

This app uses the barometric pressure sensor built into all newer iPhones and iPads and features a Barometer for weather, an Altimeter for outdoor activities and a History feature with CSV export to track air pressure. No ads, no internet connection, no trackers! Runs on your device only! Keep an eye on the barometric pressure and be your own weather forecast! This little app uses only GPS (optional) and the barometric pressure sensor to calculate the barometric pressure used in weather forecasts. iPhones and iPads have a barometric pressure sensor built in so this app works completely without internet. The handy marker helps you keep track of changes in the barometric pressure and lets you predict weather changes! Air pressure and its change over time is a very good indicator for weather! The History allows you to store pressure values over time and compare. With a single click you can export it all as a CSV file. The Altimeter helps you track your altitude changes based on the change of pressure. Just set your reference pressure and altitude in order to use the Altimeter for checking how high up the mountain you have climbed (works for other activities too). Most users will simply rely on GPS for altitude information but GPS does use a good bit of energy, so this app does not rely on GPS for the Altimeter and can help you gain an estimate, even with GPS disabled (by default the App does use GPS for calibration, configurable). Features - Barometer for weather. - Altimeter for height estimations. - No internet connection required since the sensor is built into iPhones and iPads. - No ads! No data collection beyond your device (history and settings). No web communication at all. - Data export in CSV Format. - Supports 6 selectable units for air pressure hPa/mBar, inHg, mmgHg/torr, atm, psi, kPa. - Support for 2 different altitude units, meters and feet. - Marker and History so you can track changes in barometric pressure - Manual altitude setting or automatic altitude updates based on GPS for the Barometer. - GPS Correction. In case your GPS seems to always be 'off' a little you can now fix this easily.

  • They ruined the app!!! BRING BACK THE CHART

I have been using this app for years on a daily basis to track barometric pressure shifts to help me calibrate my migraine treatment. The real-time chart disappeared in the redesign, rendering this useless. I couldn’t be more disappointed.
  • No longer accurate

Doesn’t work properly after the update. Station pressure used to be accurate to +/- ~2 mBar against a Paroscientific Model 745 Digiquartz Lab Standard. Now it doesn’t read +/- 35 mBar. Not the sensor because other apps work fine. Basically rendered useless.
  • Altimeter doesn’t work

This used to be a great altimeter until last “upgrade” broke it without warning. Now, it only gives a momentary measurement, but does not track either barometer or altitude. As a result, it only tells what altitude “was” at some time in the past. Same for pressure. I suppose I could stop and use both hands to update it, but this is inconvenient and not very useful. Could be two stars but gave it one because of unexpected and permanent loss of function.
  • New Update Ruined App

Latest update removed all worthwhile functionality; no more dual scale, no more widget, no personalization
  • What happened?

Have loved this barometer for years. Had a nice way to look at the history over the last month/week/etc. Truly helped me with my headaches. But since the update, this app has less. Looks like ick. Settings are poor. Getting rid of it and finding something new.
  • New Update

The new update is awful. A definite downgrade. I join the many others that will be searching for a replacement.
  • Bad rewrite

The authors of this app will try to gaslight users of the previous iteration into believing this rewrite is better, etc., etc. Well, it’s not! And they know all the reasons it’s not. They took a great app and dumped it down to absurd simplicity. So like many others I’m removing this app and have gone to using another app that’s closer to what this app used to offer. Seems like these app developers have never heard the trite but oh so true adage, Ïf it isn’t broke, don’t fix it"
  • The new update is horrible

I rely on this app a lot as a mTBI survivor. The new update makes it difficult to track fluctuations.
  • New "design"

What's with the awful new look of your barometer?
  • Update removes features and history!

This used to be a fantastic app and was exactly what I needed to track changes in barometric pressure over time. Now the histogram is gone along with the historical data points! I could keep a running tab on barometric changes using a yellow sticky-note on my phone, but that seems a bit extreme.. and nearly as useless as this app. Please put the app back the way it was before you “improved” it.
