  • Absence of joy

If I was to review this game a few weeks ago since the Darth Revan event, I would have given it a 5⭐️ rating. Why do you ask? Simple, although we had 6 months of just Jedi Revan you guys started listening to the community and it’s issues. You released Darth Revan with the hope of bringing life into the game and creating a rock-paper-scissors arena meta. You succeeded in doing so, and we saw the most creative and diverse meta i n years, where mods mattered but also strategy. We saw many leaderships comeback to relevance, we had 3 dominant teams that could defeat one another and also be defeated by other teams. But there was one issue for you. Palpatine leads were defeating Darth Revan leads too easy cause Vader fed the team with turn meter from the start if he was faster than the opposing Darth Revan. Which was never an issue even during there rework until like a week ago. So what did you do, you went back on your word to communicate with the community and out of the blue decided to release Darth Malak, a character that I cannot have due to the absurd circumstances to unlock him, with his kit he countered that strategy, which was the real issue in the match up pre-Malak. Very well thought out and a very strong character but not out of control, not that Darth Revan lead couldn’t beat Palpatine lead already, but it made things better and we still had a fun and diverse meta. But that wasn’t enough was it? Which comes to why I give this game 1⭐️ rating. Darth Revan already didn’t allow for Sith Empire characters to not be stunned or ability blocked cause they cleansed that debuff and turned it into ferocity. With Revan as lead if Bastila applied corrupted battle meditation on characters, they couldn’t apply debuffs. I already discussed what Malak did for the team. So why did you feel the need to take away the one thing the character had to combat these teams by half assing the solution and giving Malak the ability to prevent Sith enemies from getting bonus turn meter all together. Now the character is broken and you basically punished a large portion of the community for not unlocking Malak. You’re basically not allowing us to play the game with joy. Which is sad cause you guys were heading in the right direction and screwed everything up in just a week, that’s record time. This alone is causing people to leave the game and even people who unlocked the character think that this change was absurd and stupid cause guess what, you are alienating players from success. I know it’s hard to near impossible to please everyone but for appealing to a portion of the community you punished a great part of it cause you designed a character and it didn’t meet you expectations. The update came up and tried many things and I lost something in the process. Joy, the joy that I found a few weeks ago after the Revan event, the joy that I felt when I finally unlocked Traya, the joy that I had when I unlocked Palpatine and had fun with the game 3 to almost 4 years ago. That joy was gone. I even gave you money cause Darth Revan was worth it and didn’t want to be left behind and got screwed over it. I don’t have that much luck with mods and/or gear pieces but strategy was helping me, now I don’t even have that. This is like when you guys screwed up with fixing the HSTR and ended up punishing the community. But at least you fixed things cause you recognized your mistake. CLS Rebels were really overpowered but you guys didn’t outright kill of strategies and there were still scenarios with different teams with there strategies that could beat it even though there was a risk to doing so and even though I didn’t have him at that time I understood why you made him the way you did even if it was still frustrating to deal with. Now I know that you guys don’t really care about my or anyone else’s opinion unless they give you a lot of revenue. I know that you don’t care about what I write and I also know that you probably won’t change things back or do some proper testing or simply make things right. But this had to be said. Thank you for killing the joy the I and many others felt playing this game.

The game is great. The business model from CG is crap. New players... BEWARE!!! You’ll have to spend quite a bit of money to get remotely close to being able to play with the majority of current players. Further, game-support is shoddy at best... you invest time into a character they tel you will be useful (Sith Assassin), and then they change their minds after time, money and gear have been wasted. Beware.
  • Love(d) it but thinking about leaving it

    By Morgue12161
Used to absolutely love this game and was always warned about how bad EA is as a greedy corporate interest, but it didn’t become readily apparent to me until just recently with the rollout of Darth Revan and Darth Malak. Darth Revan was quite difficult because of having to get all these different characters up to 7 Star by panic farming over a short amount of time and then with Darth Malak, they went back on their word for at least a week’s worth of warning only to spring the event on us 2 days before event start and only allowing a 3 day event. Beyond that, they have instituted a new rule that required a minimum power level for each character (17500) to even be able to compete. This means that they forced you to gear up characters to at least level 12 as well as optimizing their abilities levels. If they had given us a week’s worth of time, it would have been maybe feasible with a moderate amount of spending. The way they did it required massive spending quickly. Beyond that, they are nerfing other characters lately to make this new character unbeatable while making us less competitive and forced to spend more to get this new character the next time it becomes available in a few months. There is talk of a lot of people leaving this game because of these recent changes.
  • What the heck went wrong

I bought this pack for a guaranteed 2 dark side chartacter. Well guess what happened, I wasted 8 dollars on this pack and I dident get anything. So when you want to buy something, don’t buy any of those limited time scams for those data cards. To owner: you have ripped me off with 8 dollars

I’m a F2P player, i’ve played for 15 months total. I’ve earned 15 (Gear 12) characters, I have 18 zetas and never spent a dime. I used strategy guides to maximize my gameplay, coming in top 500 Arena and top 50 in ships. Almost 2 million galactic points (just stating my credibility). Just wanted to say this was by far one of my favorite games that i played every single day. it was easy, fun to collect, and strategy based. But im sadden that ill have to let it go. So far CG has been nerfing everything, lowering chances to get shards, weakening free to play characters, and making the game much more difficult than it already is. People play this games for leisure and to kill time, but they cant enjoy something that is killing itself. I mean overall it took alot of time and patiences to get to where i am at. but it feels like a company is getting too greedy and not supporting the community/fan base. I was thinking of dropping some money on the game. but luckily im pulling the plug before this cancer of a game starts spreading more. Good Luck to everyone who really enjoyed the game and still plays or newbies. The grind is real with this one!
  • Best mobile game-hands down

    By Ryandria
The game is great, the community is so fun and contrary to popular belief...they don’t rape you for money to enjoy the game!! I have played this game for over 3 years! Epic.
  • Just a another EA cash grab

    By Robbathehutt
This game was a really fun mobile game when it first came out but now it has just become another massive EA cash grab where they try to cater only to whales and attempt to charge $300 to $400 for every new character. Yes that’s right THREE HUNDRED to FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS!!! My advice is even if you are a big Star Wars fan pass on this cash grab joke of a game.
  • If you put time and money into a character they will change the game mechanics to fit new content.

    Title says it all.
  • Latest update crashes to often

    By Ragaraad
I have had the app crash now a couple of times: once in the middle of a heroic raid and now just getting mod parts. Really, fix the crashes.
  • The game is great

    By rahoward
The game is great however I think the bundles to buy charters with real money cost a bit to much and should be lowered.
