  • Best thing for RV travel!

Just to say: THANKS! Your app does exactly what I need. It lets me create and explore a travel itinerary, save it, view it, modify it, share it. I am in awe of the integration to Apple Maps. I love that Apple Maps can do multi-part routes, but grumpy that I can't save one. Your app manages that interface and lets me do all I wanted. It tracks dates, distances, routes, "things to do" etc for every stop, lets me re-arrange things. So again THANKS! And, adding cream to the top of the pie, you are NOT SUBSCRIPTION BASED! I can't stand the new subscription model of software and simply refuse to "purchase" anything that is based like that. Sell it to me, sell me an upgrade (I will probably buy it). But let me own it -- I don't want to rent software! Again, THANKS THANKS!

This is useful for planing trips. It's a little buggy, and crashes a few times an hour during heavy usage. You have to buy into its way of doing things, but once you understand, it's easy to crank out maps and re-order your stops to fit the drive times. Just be sure to save your work frequently. It does seem a little kludgy, tho, still. The HTML it exports still uses instead of CSS. CSS would make this so much more friendly and useful. Also, it's hard to get *all* of the data out of it after you've spent a couple of days putting it in, but today I discovered the "export to Calendar" feature and it's truly cool. Now I have everything in my trip scheduled in my calendar.

If I press MY LOCATION it shows me somewhere else in the world ??? I double check that no VPN was on and all other maps show where I am. I don't understand this. I close out of the program and try to restart but get same results.

I am updating my review to 5 stars. The developer works hard to make this a great app. --- This could be very useful, but there are lots of bugs. The developer blames Apple Maps for all the problems, but I'm not so sure. If the bugs get fixed, I could upgrade the rating to 4 or 5 stars.

The app is pretty good, the only thing thats not correct is the travel time between pins. When I check the travel time between pins via Waze/Google maps it’s usually a two to sometimes four hour difference. Yes did the time of day checks. RTP tells me 2 1/4 hr for a route I know at best is 3 1/2 hours (lite to traffic) to 4 1/2 hours.
  • Does exactly what it says it wil do

I've been looking for a decent trip planner and I am analytical and this application met the mark. It does take a learning curve, but it only took 30 minutes to figure it out, but again I am analytical so probably a bit easier for me. For my first trip, Apple Maps worked great. Google would be better, but the timelines and routes pretty much mirrored Apple Maps. I like to journal and would love to see more robust notes, but I use another application for that. Syncing with cloud would be great with an iPad or iPhone application, but the view only application worked fine for me.
  • Perfect for my needs

The amount of data you can put in a plan with this app is amazing. I put the GPS coordinates in for free camping, use the notes to put all the information for my backup spots as well, include information on hikes, etc. I simply save the file to my iCloud and then on my phone, open it up in the RTP Viewer. The only thing to be careful about is to make sure you have your file on the phone synced offline so you can access it when out of a service area. Great app with more than enough features!! Rob
  • By far the easiest, fastest, most reasonable cost and most fun way to plan a road trip

The itle says it all. I’ve used RTP for many years and it replaced several other trip planners. Most important, its easy and pure joy to use!
