  • Buggy & Customer Support is Lacking

I love Multitracks.com & I used to love Playback. I reached out because of recent problems with the software on my Mac. The rep replied and said there were some bugs they were working on & said the app is constantly being updated. He then told me I could "save money" by moving to an annual pay plan. Why would I move to an annual pay plan with a software that has been unreliable at best? I'm going to have to consider taking my business to a competitor. Hopefully Multitracks gets it together.
  • One small tap for man, one giant beat drop for mankind

Okay, I've got to rave about this app for a moment! Seriously, in an industry of super complicated tools, this one is a breath of fresh air. So easy to use and just... smooth. The intuitive design coupled with the seamless functionality makes music production a breeze, even for beginners. I've had many years playing with many different softwares and interfaces. The Multitracks community, and Playback specifically, take the win for me. And can we talk about Jonny Barahona from customer service? Absolute legend. He didn't just make my welcome experience smooth – it felt like catching up with an old friend. It's not often you find an app that's great AND backed by such genuine customer care. Big thumbs up from me!
  • Can hear guide in the church speakers

We have a problem we haven’t been able to solve. We always have the click and the guide turned all the way up in our in-ears. However, we frequently hear from our congregation that they hear the “voice” in the speakers at the beginning of the song. Don’t know how to fix that! My other issue we haven’t been able to solve for is we can’t get the click and guide loud enough. In our in-ears that should be the loudest thing, but we frequently lose them when the multi track music overpowers them. Even though we always have the instruments lower than the click/guide, we still have a very hard time hearing them when the track music builds in the song. It’s very frustrating for our musicians. If anyone knows how to solve for this, I would love to hear it.
  • Needs an update BAD. No Bluetooth midi support.

While the app is quite powerful in so many ways (with the pro version) the fact that it does not support the native iOS Bluetooth midi functionalities is insane. For instance: you want to use a foot-pedal controller to on-off the pad, or trigger the next song, etc. You HAVE to be tethered to it via a USB dongle… ONLY. So imagine how bummed I was when I purchased a nifty little iRig Bluetooth pedal - to find that it pairs with EVERY other app on the iPad - but not Playback. I even tried using a midi bridging app (like mdmttr) and that will allow me to route the midi OUT from playback - but since playback has zero midi IN configuration options, it will ONLY see usb dongled- tethered option… which is quite messy on stage - esp. if you don’t want to lead worship with the ipad right next to you, and you need to clear off the stage quickly to make way for the pastor to teach. Big-old long USB cable run that can pop out of the ipad if anyone even looks at it wrong. Anyways - massive oversight to not utilize this long-available functionality. Contacted dev support - NO answer. Definitely quick to take my cash, however. I’ll be happy to update my review when they update the app!

I've purchased multitracks stems for years and did all my setup in Ableton. I can't believe how easy Playback is. As a worship leader who's stretched for time to get everything done, this just made my productivity so much better. Shoutout to Jonny B at Multitracks for taking the time to explain and put together exactly what our church needed.
  • Weird interface with my iPad Pro

Since my last update, I have a weird interface using my iPad Pro. I do not see the song playing anymore.
  • It didnt occur to me that I would have to even ask

2 Stars for a well engineered ap that does almost every single thing I could have ever asked for. That it would be relegated to only being able to import rented or purchased tracks as opposed to importing your own tracks, as literally any other non praise and worship related artist is wont to do, is absolutely baffling. So, if youre a pro musician looking for a show control all in one, this isnt it. Not for now, anyway. I'm sure Jesus had something to say about hoarding intellectual property. Figure it out.

  • Playback Sync Stopped Working!

Out of nowhere playback sync quit connecting. I'm running playback on a Macbook and I have 2 Ipads running chartbuilder with playback sync. It worked great before, but now the Ipads keep saying "connection failed" even when I enter the IP adress into chartbuilder manually. I've tried restarting everything, updating everything, re-installing playback and chartbuilerder, restarting my internet router, making sure chartbuilder is on the same organization as playback, with no progress. So then I downloaded playback on one of the Ipads and tried to sync chartbuilder up to that Ipad, and I get the same error. We need this fixed asap!
  • Nothing like it

There's simply nothing like Playback from Multitracks.com. Incredibly powerful, yet simple enough for volunteers to run with confidence. The best in the inustry by a country mile, and if you're using anything else, you're wasting your time and energy!
