  • Garmin wasted $$

This app never had a really good rating then Garmin bought it. I used to love it. Now, You can’t really even use it anymore as if you did a year ago I uninstalled it and honestly just use Aqua map. This is a dog.

I have been using this app for years. It is accurate and easy to use. Even though I have thousands of dollars of charting equipment on the boat. This winds up being my go to source. You get comfortable wedge in to a spot sailing and it is easier to check your position without getting up from your comfortable position. It covers the US and Virgin Islands my main sailing destination. I find it entertaining to be in another place in the US and be able to check out charts in that area. I wouldn’t go sailing without it.

Formerly my favorite marine navigation app. Now it is buggy and freezes constantly. This is a new installation on a brand new iPhone 15 Pro. Don’t rely on this app for navigation on the water! It will crash right when you need it most.

I paid $14.99 for this app a while back, which included maps and charts. Now, they’ve switched it to subscription-only so I no longer get what I signed up for. I can’t even get basic satellite image overlay unless I sign up for a $50 subscription.
  • Amazing app but needs monthly subscription

I really love this app I’ve used it so many times going out kayaking on the lake. However the only call back to it is that you have to pay $50 yearly and unfortunately I don’t even fish most of the winter months so it would be nice if they could add in monthly subscription.

Greedy Garmin and they’re outrageous subscription model. Cost has more than tripled. The expense is far beyond the value of the app. Disgusted with their business practices.

For several weeks, I’ve had issues with Navionics. I went through several troubleshooting steps (reinstalls, IOS updates…etc) trying to fix it. I traded emails with tech support during that time as well. Now seeing that others are having the same issues, I see I’m not the only one.

It was a great app! Cheap, now it’s $50 friggin bucks!? And for what you didn’t update the app any, the gps features are still lacking at best…. There no more or no less functionality, app still has bugs and crashes. And it’s less accurate than it ever used to be!! But yet the price jumped $40 bucks and what did we get in return? The same app that it was 5 years ago! What a joke! There are better applications out there for less. At least be transparent with your customer base and tell us you’re not going to make the app any better but we are going to price gouge you.
  • Overpriced and mediocre
