  • Good but needs improvement

My house is integrated well with all Google devices and supported ones. But there is a lot more improvement scope. 1. For Google doorbell camera: instead of just having visitor announcements, I would like my other Google devices to announce when a package is seen, a person is within the active zone instead of just getting notification about it. 2. Though there is automation feature in the app, I would like to see the one which is integrated with camera, for eg - if a person is seen in the active zone, turn on porch lights.

Had to lower my rating back to one star. Seriously sick of the “this video isn’t available right now” after getting an alert from the camera that a person was detected.
  • Problems setting a alarm

Every time you ask Google to set an alarm, she keeps saying she don’t understand
  • The device hasn’t been working lately

I’ll ask Google to set an alarm for a certain time and it’ll set an alarm for 5 hrs later than I said, in the morning I ask Google to turn off the alarm and it says no alarm is going off when the alarm 100% is going off so then I have to get up and unplug to make it stop. Lately I’ve been asking it to set an alarm or what’s the weather outside and it just responds sorry I don’t understand, it’s been beyond frustrating

I have trouble connecting to music constantly. Even through the app. They need to fix the bugs in the app because 80% of the time it’s not working right.
  • Limited Support for Nest Cams on Home App

Being forced to migrate to the google home app for the newer gen nest cameras is disappointing. There are far less options for the cameras within the home app. In the nest app, you’re able to scroll through the camera feed second by second and save whatever footage you need but in the home app you’re only able to click live view or the notifications to view. Some things aren’t caught on the camera notifications so I like being able to go back to see what was missed. I refuse to buy any new cameras because they’re not supported on the nest app. Since everything is in a limbo phase I’ll happily use nest app but once they get rid of the nest app altogether and force us all into the google home app I’ll probably cancel my nest subscription and get different cameras. The nest subscription goes up every year but if there’s less functionality/support within the google home app for the cameras what exactly am I paying for?

  • Wi-Fi devices list must never have been tested

It’s impossible to read the Wi-Fi devices list as it refreshes and reorders every 5 seconds, no matter what it is sorted by. What an absolutely awful UX and how does Google not test this experience.
