Best privacy policy out there, period. App itself provides NO audible guidance or coaching (how they save money and apply globally - don’t need to translate anything other than the countdown 5-4-3-2-1). This means you are constantly interrupting workout to find the next move (instead of flowing from one to the other) and have NO guidance on form, things to look for, etc. So you could be doing all of it totally incorrectly and you would never no because there are NO TIPS (make sure you are focused on glutes, breath in here, look up here, support your head there). And finally, this ONLY works in the native portrait mode of your phone/tablet. Need to charge your tablet ? Forget a workout if your charger port is at the bottom. Want to put it in landscape to balance on a keyboard so it doesn’t fall over? Forget it. If you are fit and/or have access to a personal trainer who can make sure your form is correct and want a robust workout schedule that is curated for you (but not by your personal trainer?) go for it. Otherwise, look elsewhere. Sadly, because, best privacy policy in the business

I stopped using Freeletics over six months ago. I forgot to let them know I wanted to cancel my yearly subscription. I Got charged yesterday to renew my subscription and reached out asking for a refund because I don’t need it and haven’t used the app in months. This is their reply. Essentially: “too slow! Sorry but your loss we don’t care.” Is this for real? Thank you for your response. It is stated in our T&Cs in 7.3.: "In order to avoid any misunderstanding, please note that the term of a subscription is determined by calendar and is independent from your use or extent of your use of the respective Freeletics Service." T&Cs are part of the contract and therefore applicable and it does not matter if the Coach is used or not. As we explained in our previous answer, the automatic renewal of your subscription was clearly stated on the subscription page as well as in our T&Cs. As we have not registered any cancellation request or received any message in this sense prior this renewal, a refund is unfortunately not possible. Our subscription policy is strict and once the renewal is completed, we can only process your request for the next renewal date. If you do not wish to take advantage of the voucher, we will leave your subscription active, and it will definitely end once its current period has expired. Thank you for your understanding,

Most fitness apps profess to be free and then try lure you in by asking a bazillion questions, making big promises, and then hit you with a subscription fee. This one is the worst because it even brandishes the name “freeletics”. B.s. and deceptive.

  • The app took money and cancelled my account

My account renewed January 8th 2024 for one year subscription. By March 11th my account info was gone and the app was asking me to buy a new membership as if I didn’t have one already. Scam.
  • Subscription doesn’t work

Never buy this product. I purchased a subscription and I couldn’t access it and customer service kept telling me to go to Apple and apple said go to Freeletics, who has the worst customer service possible. I paid for a year subscription that I can’t use and can’t even get an answer as to why.
  • Mostly Great App

Love the app! Been using it for years. The coach feature is a legitimate must. Helps with figuring out what/when to do things (which truthfully is the biggest hurdle in working out.) I’ve seen real physical changes for me. Only draw backs is that the barbell option should have more workouts than it has, and they used to have an Apple Watch connection then removed it about a year ago. That was a huge bummer. Overall though, solid app and good bang for your buck.
  • They sure harass you for money for something with free in the title

I ran into similar problems of what I’ve seen in one other app. I’ve tried so far. Just during the set up process I got asked twice to subscribe to the service without ever having used it. Going back into the app after doing something else I got hit up again. Again, I still have not actually used the app yet and it’s been at at least three times that they’re asking me for money. They take you through this lengthy “AI “set up process, and I enter all my information, including the fact that I don’t have any equipment. You get shown two different exercise, pets, which it’s not clear at all what the differences or why there’s two different paths or whatever but when you go to it the first thing, I see is routines with kettlebell and dumbbells and all the stuff that I’ve told the app I don’t have. Another app that uses AI as a gimmick, but doesn’t pay attention to this information that I am entering that you don’t even need AI for if you would just listen to the person you’re asking information from. I don’t know why these apps just ignore the uses input. Why ask them to answer these questions at all? I guess I don’t have any patience for these apps that are hitting you over the head for money when you’ve literally spent zero time using the apps and they want you to decide now now now, so they offer you this supposedly huge discount to sign up right now. I don’t really care. If I can’t even try out the app before you start harangue me for money, then what’s the point of having the app be free to download in the first place? I just suggest that you look elsewhere if you are just starting up or getting back to any sort of fitness because unless you know what you’re doing this app is absolutely not any help whatsoever and will constantly ping you for money even though it’s not proven that it can even listen to the inputs that it prompt you with. I have zero faith in this app.
  • The only fitness app that keeps me on track

Nearly four years in, Freeletics remains my go to. Don’t let the photos/your assumptions fool you. This isn’t only for people with access to full weight sets, pull-up bars, etc. I’ve exclusively trained without weights (some simple exercise bands do the trick!) and use my own body weight. I also train in a small 10x6 foot space in the basement. Not long after I started, I could see results. And now I’m in the best shape of my life. Consistency is essential, but I think the secret sauce here is the convenience. No excuses - just one foot in front of the other. I highly recommend Freeletics.
  • Best workout app - but no Apple Watch app

I’ve tried a bunch and Freeletics is the Goldilocks of workout apps, especially if bodyweight only is what you’re going for. I just wish it had an Apple Watch app to accompany it to capture data and make it easier to track
