  • Great Recipe-Saver app!

Very convenient way to save recipes from the web—love how it automatically pulls in the recipe and puts everything into the template! Also has a handy serving-resizer. Many other features can be found, as well. That said, it appears I can only import a limited number of recipes before subscriptions or IAP’s kick in. When that happens, it’s back to Paprika!

I really love this app for how simple it is to use and how organized it makes everything. Some other apps don't organize your recipes according to type (deserts, salads, ect.) and this one does, beautifully. I love seeing a large picture of the recipes I'm looking for instead of just the name in list form as well. This app really gives the feel of flipping through a real physical recipe book. I would LOVE to give it five stars, BUT their are several things that make this app harder to use than would be ideal. Which has me still searching for another app like this. 1- When you import recipes from the web, it most often will not bring the recipe directions as well. Which leaves you to copy and paste long directions in. However anything pasted in will show as one LONG (and un editable, see reason 2) text box. 2- Editing anything that you have already input is nearly impossible. Forgot to add a word in the directions or decided to capitalize something you forgot... Too bad. I've had to delete that whole block of text/ingredient and re add it. Did you have to import a really big text box of info, there is no way to break it up after its in the app. 3- When you re add items they are now at the bottom of the list. Was that in step two? Too bad. It's now the last thing you'll see. Unless you want to delete EVERYTHING after that ingredient and re add it all after. 4- When you are writing your instructions, the text box is almost completely covered by the keyboard. Which makes things difficult if you get distracted and forget right where you are. 5- I would really love to see an option for adding personal notes. I often find things that I need to do differently to get the recipe just right next time, and it would be nice to be able to add that in there easily. Of course you can always edit and add it as a additional step in the recipe, but an actual notes option would be lovely.

Sorry long title Spent a few days looking for what your app does. Love the manually entering recipes and recipes from web is great for the few sites it will work on. So many tests there, app excellent. iPad app signed in with Facebook. iPhone signed in with Facebook....crashes repeatedly. iPad signed in with email, wants me to subscribe, again. iPhone Contact us: no email setup iPhone Info site: No site found. ---CS fixed this problem for me and the 2 apps communicate.

I purchased this app a couple of years ago as a one time purchase and now I have to pay a monthly fee in order to continue using all of the apps feature. You should honor you agreement to those who purchased this app as a one time payment. I guess I need to look for a new app.

While I was searching for a great recipe app I came across this one, and decided to test it out. I have to say that, so far I think this app is fantastic. The app loads fast and is fun to use, and I'm not just saying that. Everything about it just works, and works really well, the design of the graphics which are clean and professional immediately caught my eye, as I am someone that wants the look and feel of an app to match apples original beautifully designed interfaces as most do not, in my opinion the design of this interface is just a pleasure to use. I wouldn't change a thing as to its look and feel, I absolutely love what has been done this dev obviously cares about what they build. This little app seems really well thought out, I don't think the dev left anything out you could want. I have been using it for several days now without any issues at all and will continue to use the app. I really like to cook and I am also a web dev, so I appreciate good design and reliably written code. This is so simple to use, that once you get the feel of how it works anyone should love using it, as you can add your own recipes or even import directly from a site like the food network, and like magic the apps built in parsing engine will grab all the correct text and even the image resize it, and turn it into a page stored in the app. It even has a really well designed keyboard system of built in shortcuts so you don't need to completely type out your ingredients list, example: just click the cup icon and a number and it will type 1 cup sugar out for you, just select an ingredient or add one from the list, no need to type out the word cup, tsp, tbsp. The built in shopping list is nice and works well it can automatically create a shopping list from any recipe you have. You can even export it to your iPhone from your iPad using one of the other apps from this dev. Every thing you could want seems like it has been thought of, so far this app runs very smooth. I have been thoroughly impressed by how well it works on my iPad Mini, this is surely a keeper in my opinion. I think anyone who is looking for a recipe app to store and organize their recipes should give this one a try.

Love it!! Wish there was a way it could be portrait vs landscape! I can't see the whole recipe and when I try to enter instructions and I can't see what I'm typing! I would even purchase upgrade if this problem was fixed.

This is a good recipe file but it does not end up being free. I put about 15 recipes in and it told me I had to upgrade or I would loose some recipes.

I love this app. I can store all my recipes in one spot. No more hunting for that scrap of paper. No more saving magazines for 1 recipe. It's easy to use. After trying it for free, I purchased the updated version. It is well worth it.

I previously used The Recipe Box which has all of my recipes, but it will no longer open. I had no trouble with importing recipes from any website. Can anyone tell me how to import the full recipe within this new app? I can't see to figure it out, and the developer's website doesn't work. Thanks
