So I like this app over Apple Maps due to the Live Activity/Dynamic island support. When I’m actually on the bus, or waiting for a bus that’s on schedule, the app provide good route building and live data from other users is nice. I’m within the top 3 for providing real time data on most of my main routes, which is also a somewhat fun feature to look at. If a bus is late or cancelled, on the other hand, the apps never seems to accommodate for that, or even let me know. The bus that connects me to my commuter bus was cancelled, and rather then letting me know so I could take a similar bus to make the connection, the app just kept saying “bus arrives in 1 minute”. Looking at the map, the cancelled bus showed cancelled, the next bus showed 30 minutes away. So why didn’t it let me know or change my route? Further, when I cancelled the current trip and tried to build a new route, it used the cancelled bus to make a route again, even though the app still acknowledged the bus was cancelled? I might switch back to Apple Maps for bus navigation. My commuter bus only runs once an hour so I can’t afford to miss it, and this app seems to keep missing the mark unfortunately.

Timing is everything and it’s sometimes right on the mark but then the other 65% of the time it’s off by 15 or more minutes. If the weather was bad and this happened I could understand. But for example take quite Sunday and this happens you might have the time to spare but during the week it’s a pain. I’m using the Apple 13 and still have poor coverage using this app. Also, notice the bus drivers are part of the problem. They don’t stay on schedule.
  • Useless alerts: just walk

4/24/2024 latest version ONLY works for “Leave Now”. Tried several time using “Arrive by” and briefly routes flash on then disappear. “Leave at” shows only one route that is more than one hour later than the time set. I am near several popular bus routes, so Transit is wrong. Not sure why I keep trying to use this app… 11/7/2023 Unfortunately, updated to the latest version 5.15.6 and now unless you leave now, routes flash on for a second and then disappear to NO routes. That is setting to arrive on the next day @ x time. There still is NO GO button despite their claim to have fixed it. Just gets worse. 10/28/2023 There is no “GO” button. Can’t choose a route… 12/5/2020 latest update show all “other modes” when those are all “off” (unchecked). So much stuff canNOT read map. Just more uselessness… 6/5/2020 so a bus line shows a yellow triangle alert but the alert shows every line but the line the user is planning to take. Note: the alerts include other transit services NOT the transit service the user is looking at in the app. Also, the alerts are beyond the city the user is trying to use transit. Use a different app or just walk. False ETAs and NO buses: Just walk 12:12 PM response from Transit support is "we're really only in a position to offer support for the latest version." So, keep watching the app store 24/7 to catch their random updates. 12/20/2018 Last two days, the ETAs are worse. Waiting for a bus that Transit said ETA was 2 minutes. Waited over 10 minutes and it still showed ETA as 2 minutes. Walked 15 minutes along street of bus route and NO bus(es) passed me. Sent a couple of reports to Transit support and they canNOT understand that time only moves forward NOT backwards as reported in my 12/14/2018 review. In addition, another support rep stated, "We get all our info from public transit authorities, and sometimes it's not fully accurate." Basically, they're right and users' authentic experience are wrong. They instruct to use v5 but I already tried that. I'm jumping ship . . . 12/14/2018 "ETAs = arrival time is before end of bus ride" -- I reinstalled v4.5 and the ETA of buses were not as erratic. However, on a route, the last bus stop was to arrive at 11:21 AM, then disembark and walk to final destination to arrive at 11:16 AM. Huh? arrive before getting off the bus? No wonder Transit is now so inaccurate, the developers do not know that time moves forward NOT backwards. The app no longer uses my favorite bus lines when creating routes . . . 11/8/2018 after one week with v5.x the times are totally inaccurate. As other users reported, a bus line shows arriving in 2 minutes and while starring at the screen it changes to 50 minutes, then 38 minutes, then 2 minutes, then 96 minutes . . . The new interface is okay, but inaccurate times is no different from me dreaming up any time that I think the bus should arrive so hence, no need for the app. Curious as to why the ETA times via GPS are so wrong with v5 versus v4 of the app. 11/1/2018 v5.0.5 3 stars "Change (v5) seems to work": I tapped update by mistake. Knowing some of the issues users reported reported about v5 changes, I was holding off... I read the blog post and then took a looksie. Two years of muscle memory with the old versions, v5 takes a bit to get proficient. I could not delete recent routes. However, I was able to make a route a favorite and then pressing and holding that favorite offered a delete option. That is way too many steps just to delete...the old way was to swipe left and tap the delete button. Please bring that back. Then it froze my phone. After restart, I tried to use it but it froze again. Another restart, deleted and re-downloaded the app. Had to reset my preferences and favorite bus lines. I'm getting the hang of this new version...[iPSE iOS 10.3.3] I'll be updating to iOS 12.x soon. 5/9/2017 v4.x.x 5 stars: "It just works" ...in San Francisco. Its GO feature that was added several versions ago is simple to use providing real times vs interval of times with the transit feature of the Maps app. Now, I think public transit or walking over driving. The additional info such as schedules, maps, trip planner etc. are invaluable. 10/5/2016 v3.12.1 working with iOS 7.x again. Thanks for fixing. 9/28/2016 NO longer Works It seems that since the release of 4.0.x the previous version that runs on iOS 7.x NO longer works. It no longer can find my location, therefore stop bells don't work. With all the verbiage of your release notes, a warning about the next update requiring iOS 8 would have been helpful. But I canNOT update my iOS. And shouldn't the previous version still work? Time to delete and find another app. To bad because this used to be good.

For over a week now my transit has been saying “sorry try again in a little “ when I try to use it I’ve deleted and reinstalled it over 5 times and I can’t even get past the provide access step the drivers are accusing me of wanting free rides but I just can’t get my app to work and I can’t get downtown to get a card Plus is it really that hard to send a message on the app saying you don’t have a driver? I’ve stood at stops for hours waiting for the bus that the app said was on its way it’ll give you how long till it gets there but if there is no icon on the route no bus is coming to you but apparently it’s too much to ask to be notified of that

Very rarely do you get a customer oriented driver. They stop where they want, 1 out of 5 times on time. Someone with a clue provide training.
