  • A great paper hobbled by greed

I’m not sure what’s worse, constantly having to log back in or not being allowed to log back in unless I delete the app. OR is it the inability to scroll through the app without jumping to an ad. Or is it the lack of seasoned reporters. Or… too bad I can’t give it a half star.

This app does not work consistently on my ipad. It either won’t update to the current day e-edition (which I pay for) or just sits and spins until I shut down and restart. NO other app I use behaves like this.
  • Reliable UNRELIABLE!

This is the most frustrating app. Half the time it won’t load or abruptly closes. Even if the paper looks like it’s loaded, any given page may not. It’s ridiculous.
  • Clocking

Love the app; I’m a subscriber. Unfortunately, too often lately I open the app only to have it “clock” continuously or the screen freezes…
  • Issues

This app is an abomination! Weather animations error out. Buttons disappear, it rendering issues are ridiculous. The “Your stories” tab is useless because it loses your preferences and you have to reset them nearly every single time you open the app. No wonder why your subscriber base is dwindling. You can’t even develop a premium app that serves the purpose of providing news and info for people who only use the digital version. I so wish that you had a viable competitor in this space for local news because this is shameful.
  • Bad app, bad service

Constantly breaks and logs me out. Home button disappears. Impossible to navigate through subscription plan. Disappointing
  • Poor update

This updated a few days ago. Now it’s much harder to find what I am interested in reading. Much busier interface. Newer isn’t always better.
  • Not good

They did away with the baseball app, so forced to use this one. Only 2-3 Cardinals stories available at any one time. What if we want to read yesterday’s stories? Now you can’t.
  • Poor Quality

I love the content that STL Today provides. However, the app itself is frustrating. Too many articles take 30 seconds or more to download - if they download at all.

No matter what page I click on the E edition, it goes back and never lets me read anything.
