I used to think that I could get KiK notifications to work by rebooting my ipad to show me badges when there are messages and now it is simply refusing to work at all. Very frustrating.

If I reported every sexual post there wouldn’t be an app left. I just wanted to talk about Norse mythology with strangers and got unsolicited nudes from a bot. I used to like this app before it let creepy people in

This app is not what it once was but that is expected I would like it if there was a way to turn off the lives so I didn’t have to see them and also there is this one individual who is who is spamming a group that I left yet I keep getting notifications for it the group and questions is #navi_boost it’s I believe it is just one person behind it and a bunch of bots and his aim is to all the accounts in the group even though I laughed my Kick is still not working as it should please ban all the malicious bots along with the person that goes by SATAN my chats have not updated since Wednesday April 17th

The amount of “bots” on here soliciting your purchase of xrated material is so predatory. Hundreds of messages per day. I’m a woman. Can AI not figure out their target audience? It’s not me! 😒 4/18/24 update: I updated Kik which says they’ve made changes to make us safe from scammers and bots. I’m still getting several dozen bots per hour messaging me. Issue does not seem to be resolved! 4/20/24 update: This application has gotten worse. This “kik it” feature has people promoting pedophilia, rape & beastiality. KIK ARE YOU CHECKING YOUR OWN APP? This has gone too far!

All of the sudden I no longer get notifications, all of my setting have sound and vibrate on. I have to open the app and then I can see that I have a new message.

I have been on Kik on and off for years. The last few years the app quits sending notifications. When this happens I first check to make sure that the app is updated and that my phone is too. There are times when the app ask me if I want to turn on notifications but I never turned them off. I end up having to reinstall the app be be able to get a notification. Then in a few weeks I will have the same issue. It’s frustrating.

please for the love of god make this an 18+ only app that must have ID verification. i’ve witnessed so many people get taken advantage of by creeps on here.

It is depressing to know that the staff of this app are more interested in removing your profile picture, along with your background picture for having animated drugs or guns in them but have no issue keeping around child predators who post on Kik-It “Male, looking for any age to have fun, 34” or kids saying they’re 13 and then posting a telegram link or looking for people to send child porn to, or something along those lines. They have no issue keeping those individuals on the app and keeping them happy, however when it comes to those who did nothing and have something that the staff may find inappropriate, they simply remove it, despite me being able to go straight to Kik-It and find about 12 underaged kids and 15 predators or people looking to have sexual intercourse with a minor. My question is how far does the entitlement go for your staff before you begin to do the right thing because this is not a new problem, this problem has been here for years now and has yet to ever resolve itself but people having profile pictures removed, background pictures removed, seem to be on a higher agenda than removing the ability for those individuals who look for sex to never look again on this app. However even if it is reported, even if you complain to the company themselves, it simply comes in one ear and out the other. I hope you know if I see this review removed I will continue to post this and show everyone that the staff of this app have more problems with animated drugs and characters than they do child predators. The fact this is happening is just deplorable and disgusting in every way.
