NOTE: Google Voice only works for personal Google Accounts in the US and Google Workspace accounts in select markets. Text messaging is not supported in all markets. Backed up and searchable Calls, text messages, and voicemails are stored and backed up to make it easy for you to search your history. Manage messages across devices Send and receive individual and group SMS messages from all your devices Your voicemail, transcribed Google Voice provides advanced voicemail transcriptions that you can read in the app and/or have sent to your email. • No point for this app.

This app is just about useless for people who don’t already have a existing phone service. Literally the majority of people who use this app do not have working phones, so how can you expect them to verify a phone number if that’s what they are trying to get in the first place. This app is counterintuitive to what it’s made for. Sure it’s a backup phone number used for business purposes and whatnot, but it should not require a phone number to get a phone number .-.
  • Google Is Nearly Perfect

I’ve had a Google Voice number for approximately 10 years. As much as I love the app, I would like to see one change. I’d like more options for the text alert tones. Especially the ones available on my iPhone. There are times where I don’t hear the alert for texts. In fact, I find the alert tone for the app too subtle. I think the easiest way to resolve this is through an app update.

  • It's a no from me dog.

Why can't this distinguish between a regular call and a Google Voice? Years later, still so many fundamental flaws like this. No point in listing as they actively delete negative reviews.
  • Would not recommend anymore

This app used to work well, I did have some minor problems with it. Now I can't send any texts or make calls. I now recieve a message that says my message failed to send.

also, they block my personal texts and flag them as spam. i had to go to the FTC to get them to stop. they still do it but not as often
  • AI took over- text message keeps changing

    By KMSmith17
I typed a text message that changed several times before the recipient could read it. All versions were similar to my original message but slightly altered. Each time that I left the app and came back there was an altered version of my original text. My only solution was to delete the app.
