  • Best content, worst platform

Max really can’t be beat for content. HBO Max was at the top of the game before the merge, so now Max is practically bursting at the seams with winning choices for what to watch. The problem is that the new merger came with an awful app that lacks almost any organization and zero consideration for subscribers with it comes to how to navigate alllll of the options. HBO Max has categories and subcategories based on genre, studio, and how long programs had been or would be around. Max pretty much has nothing, and it is a shame because, without a thoughtful way to navigate, the platform is frustrating and tedious as a opposed to the playland it should be.
  • Best Streaming App

This is the only streaming app that has zero bugs and glitches. Well organized with the best movies and shows does not matter if you’re streaming on your phone or television, there are never any problems.
  • Tokyo Vice

The more episodes I watch, the more I like this series. I hope that HBO/MAX has the good sense to renew the series for a third season. Tokyo Vice appears to be culturally accurate and the series is definitely exciting!
  • Great app soon to be destroyed

HBO was great. Now under new ownership with a CEO who wants garbage TV to be at the core of their platform, this all will soon become garbage. The HBO of old with amazing original programming will be gone before to long in the hands of their current CEO. Enjoy it before it becomes Discovery Max (garbage)

  • BAD APP

Incredibly bad app across iOS and tvOS. The iPhone and iPad app is slow, buggy, and seems to think my device is nearly out of storage, not allowing for more offline downloads, even though I have over 100GB available. Contacted customer support, which didn’t help at all. The Apple TV app is simply terrible. It’s incredibly laggy, uses a REALLY BAD custom video player, which is missing many tvOS features, and doesn’t save episode / movie progress reliably. The old HBO Max app was better than the one that replaced it.

This app never stays signed in. I have to login to my provider daily. That’s the most annoying thing with this app! I hate having to always sign in!! F this app I’m over it.

The ease of use. Nice variety. Consistently new stuff. No glitching or crashing. I never have a problem signing on. That’s five stars in my book, bro.
  • Wish they added support for keyboard

Would be nice if they had support for keyboard, i watch while i cook a lot and it’s convenient not to touch the screen awkwardly with parts of me that aren’t covered in food goo.
