Severe weather alerts. Live in confidence with alerts for severe weather conditions. A detailed weather index alerts you about threats like extreme storms, helping you stay safe. 24-hour weather forecast. Use our beautiful temperature, wind, and rain graphs to see what weather lies ahead. We visualise data on timelines so it’s easy to spot fluctuations. That’s one less thing to worry about. Weather radar. Use the radar map to stay one step ahead. Powered by the Global Forecast System and data from EMC, NCEP, NWS, and NOAA, the weather radar displays past, current, and future precipitation volumes. So you can easily check if it’s raining anywhere in the world – or if it’s going to. Home Screen widgets. Check the weather right from your Home Screen with Overdrop’s information-rich widgets. Pick from various styles and sizes – whether you need the forecast for the next three hours or the next five days. 4 weather providers. This is by far the best weather app available. I used OverDrop on Android and now iOS. Multiple weather sources to choose from including Apple weather. Beautiful widgets and a good selection of themes. Easily one of my favorite apps.

Great app I love how you can choose your own weather provider and the app makes it very easy and simple to view weather information

First impressions are pretty good. The animations are all really smooth and nice. I am experiencing when I go into the settings and specifically the app icons the app freezes up and lags.
  • What does the app not open?

I had Dark Sky for ever and someone bought them out and they suggested this for the wrap but it won’t open today and we have a huge storm coming. It’s not a free App so I’m wondering how we get this thing to work consistently.

I bought into Overdrop based on public recommendations for Dark Sky alternatives after Apple killed Dark Sky (why did they do that?) and three months later I'm quite certain it was money down the drain. First off, this app doesn't approach Dark Sky greatness. I'm even wondering if the reviews and articles I read while researching DS alternatives might have been authored by the developer himself. Secondly, "buggy" is the word I would use to describe the app's behavior. Yesterday it wouldn't even open. A quick delete/reload fixed that, but still the app gives me four or five seconds of black screen before it loads, as it has done since first use. Third, and this is the big one, there is NO app support available! Apple and I spent awhile on the phone today trying to track down this developer, as I had called them to try to get at least some of my money back. At least now Apple is aware of the issue and (supposedly) looking into it. The bottom line is this: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON OVERDROP! The iPhone's native weather app, while still definitely no Dark Sky, will provide you with just as much information in just as mediocre a layout as Overdrop, and it opens without any hiccups. Shame on this developer.

Ok, so this app is trash. The first time I launched the app, I was unable to get beyond the location picker screen. After restarting the app a half dozen times, I uninstalled it. I am truly disappointed.

This app would be a 5 star app … if … I was able to add widgets. For some reason when I long press the Home Screen there is no Overdrop widget in the list. I’ve asked on Twitter, I’ve emailed. Idk what to do. They say it’s there but it just isn’t. The app itself is nice though.
