  • Great app

Philo is a great app, I get to watch things whenever I want to. The reason I put a 4 star is because when I want to watch a certain movie or show, I can’t because it’s not live, and for me I don’t know why but the app is a little slow, BUT NOT THAT MUCH. It also tells you how long the advertisements are; so that’s a great benefit. Because nobody I know likes commercials. So I would recommend the app FOR SURE 100%!!!!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Philo had decided to place an ad for their shows on the landing page of the app. So now if you don’t react with it the app will force start the show. This is the last straw. You shove your self promoted ads and your affiliate ads down our throat all day long. Now a forced ad when I start the app. I will be canceling my service after 2 years. Done with you guys.I’m not paying for this type of ad abuse.
  • Glad I can delete finally

Rpdr season 16 is over now and that means I get to delete this horribly designed app. The ads are WAY to long. I also find it super annoying that if I back the episode up a few minutes and it happens to be right before a commercial break THAT I HAVE ALREADY SAT THROUGH ONCE I have to then rewatch all the commercials again. It’s just corporate greed and capitalism at its finest. They want us to watch as much ads as possible so that they can make an extra 10¢. It’s pathetic like you are already paying for a subscription. If anything this experience was just a reminder why cable and television in general is dying out. Do better.
  • Annoying and predatory

I used to have a Philo account, but I found it too expensive and I didn’t use it enough so I canceled it. My mother signed up for the seven day free trial today tho. After I tried to log her account into the TV that I used to have an account on-it automatically canceled her free trial. It said some mean-spirited “you need to pay for a membership, you’ve had an account before” She’s upset that it just auto closes your account like that- people have different accounts? I logged out of mine I don’t know why my account made her account get flagged. We didn’t use the same cards or emails or anything and it was so obnoxious.
  • Skipping

I love what Philo offers, but my only complaint is sometimes when I’m watching a show, when it goes to a commercial or ad, when it resumes back to the show, it has skipped almost to the end. I don’t know what is causing it. It happens a lot!
  • Way too many ads for a PAID subscription.

I pay for ad free viewing, yet I receive a mandatory 5 minute add each episode. Get your cheap app together it’s embarrassing and pathetic

I love Philo and its range of shows. So far I can find something to watch to date that I haven’t viewed. That’s rare in our home.
  • AirPlay does not work

Because of Philo’s lack of support for webOS TV’s (like my LG TV) I am attempting to use AirPlay. It works for maybe 3 seconds before I get a blank screen on the TV and the app tries skipping to the next episode. I’ve tried messing with every relevant setting and restarting devices and it’s the same result every time. This is why testing on actual devices is important before you ship broken software

I think people would like to browse through more of your selections. My only complaint would be I came back to watch the rest of my movie later that day, and it had been rescheduled for the next week. Overall a good app, not too pricey
