I thought after buying a subscription, the quality of the saved content would be better than with free but nothing changed

Used to love this app. I purchased several packs back in the day and used them often. Then they switched to the subscription model and I began to deal with issues where the app would say I hadn't purchased the packs. I would have to click the restore button several times to get it to work. Finally went in today and it wouldn't restore my purchases at all. I tried taking the app off my phone and installing it again. Clicked to restore my purchases, claimed it did then brought up a sign-in screen. Just one problem--I never made an account with squarespace because when I purchased the packs there were no accounts, just my app store record, so I have no squarespace account associated with those purchases. I haven't signed up for an account because I shouldn't have to and I have gotten along just fine. Even before this I was getting the subscription service constantly shoved in my face even though I had purchased many packs. I feel robbed.

I used to love the unfold app. Had it for many years and always enjoyed how user friendly it was, the template designs, and customizations but now I’ll be looking elsewhere. Greed took over with unfold and all the paid templates that I have previously purchased over the years from them now have an ad on the bottom. To remove the unfold ad, customers now have to pay a monthly subscription to remove them. Wish they would have grandfathered the original customers to have the templates that were ALREADY paid for ad free.

This worked well for a while then the app stopped connecting to my Squarespace site. The sign in & PW are all correct & the same however the app keeps saying it’s not. I updated all apps & tried to resolve the issue. There is no support to help navigate the issue. I can’t edit or change my biosite profile so it’s now out of date & useless to me. I am deleting it. I’ll make my own links page on my website & link that instead. Lemons >> Lemonade 🍋

I used to love this app and use it all the time. I was using the very limited free templates, but it was perfect for every day use for a small creator. Now everything has a watermark, and I’m no longer able to use the few free templates without paying. Super disappointing. This was truly my favorite app.

I had bought templates in the past and now they are watermarked! I thought it was me and that I was doing something wrong. Tried restoring my purchase and although it says they have been restored, there is still a watermark on all of them. It appears that I’m not alone by the comments. UNFOLD: Please don’t bother responding to this review like you did for everyone else’s. This was done on purpose and I have already deleted the app and moved on. One star review in case others are remotely interested in this apps new subscription plan. My advice…… stay away from Unfold!

After reading the comments, I see I’m not the only one upset about the watermark. A lot of people referred Unfold for stories in the past but the forced watermark and pressure to subscribe now to use this app is horrible. Removing consumer choice to buy the single layouts is a horrible idea and experience and this new watermark is so tacky on your part to force it on users. Revisit your marketing team and come up with a better strategy to pull in revenue because this isn’t it!

This was a great app, easy to use, etc. However I paid for a few of the layouts in full so I thought had unlimited use on them. Then they switched to a subscription based payment and the layouts that I paid in full for were no longer able to be used without their “unfold” logo on them.

Ruined a great app! Now puts watermarks on templates that I’ve ALREADY PAID FOR! If I ALREADY PAID, I shouldn’t have to pay AGAIN MONTHLY to remove a watermark!

Im not paying $3 a month for the rare time I need to make an Instagram story with a white background. Story templates used to be free forever.
