    This was the first bible that I saved up for as a teen active in church. I’ve had that bible now 22 years and it means something to me for a multitude of different reasons. This app is the bible I flipped through and studied from as a kid. I compared the screenshots the app gives you alongside the actual bible and it matches; which matters now in a world that’s steadily rewriting books and history on a daily basis. It comes with many features but my favorite is being able to get definitions for words without needing a separate app.

    It is great to have my favorite study Bible in app form for travel and going to Bible study. Is there a way to use the highlight feature in the notes as well as the scripture section? That would be helpful! Also, isn’t the Split View is there a way to view verses in two different books of the Bible side by side?

  • Would like to make sleep mode optional

    My wife and I really enjoy this app, but if we could change something, it would be to disable the sleep mode while the app is open. We usually use the app in our Sunday school class, so it sometimes just sits there for a few minutes without any user interaction. This causes the iPad to go into sleep mode, making it a little inconvenient when we need to refer back to it, having to wake up the iPad and get past the Home Screen and back to the scripture page we had open. If the sleep mode could be made optional, or at least a selectable length of time before kicking in, that would make it easier to deal with. Having been an iOS developer, I know that this can be done.

    This app is like having the Life Application NLT Study Bible in your pocket. I much prefer this than the other apps which make you get the base app then purchase add ons or subscribe to a plan for access and still show ads. I love the New Living Translation too, it’s perfect for new or advanced readers and has become my primary daily text. It just reads so smooth and is easy to understand, cross reference all the nerd stuff later, you’ll find its trustworthy. The study bible briefly explains what you just read and how it applies to life. It has many features that are extremely useful as well. I’ve used over 20 other apps and this one is my favorite, worth every penny for me.

    This Bible App has it all. I’m not joking. From many different versions of the Bible, including audio to daily readings and study materials. Well worth every penny I have spent on this application. I am able to highlight, take notes and most of all get closer to God. Don’t think twice about this one!!
