  • There is a God and he’s incredibly cruel

This plot is a MESS. The curveball makes no sense, but you know something? Neither does the premise. You are Max Caulfield, a 12-year-old-looking-18-year-old who is randomly given the power to go back in time by the world’s meanest butterfly. The CTRL+Z button finally exists in real life! Except that if you use it you will unravel secrets you didn’t want to know and kill everyone whether you want to or not. Literally why even give her that power? So she can become so bitterly depressed by the moral choice she is forced to make that therapy wouldn’t work on her? Did you think this character was a gay icon like I did all those years I was too poor to afford the game? Well, there’s a hetero subplot in there for no reason. Of course, Bi people are a crucial part of the LGBT, but it didn’t feel like bi rep, it reallllllllyyyyy felt like an option for the homophobes and the “neutral people who would get icked out by two girls kissing.” Especially since one of the other subplots is “radical republicans have good intentions,” a myth that has been thoroughly debunked since 2013. God, we were so stupid back then. But as we know there’s no way to undo THAT election. And even if there was, God would throw nuclear weather and whales at us for trying. Since nothing matters and this game has absolutely no lesson or moral to it, I’m going to play it all over again, except this time I will let everyone die. Yes, including the dog. Who cares? It will all be undone in the end when we realize that God STILL hates Max and wants her to have every option with full, horrific context, but no real choice. Or maybe I WILL let the tornado win… Game TWs: A LOT. Avoid if “unaliving” (self, assisted, AND criminal), bullying, revenge pr0n, stalking, severe disability, NRA board members, or literally any drug ever could pose a mental obstacle for you. And I’m dead serious, you really do go through all of this for nothing, so you need to be prepared for that dull sting of emptiness at the end. If you cannot combine nihilism with these triggers, go play Stardew Valley. Your choices matter, you can prevent an apocalypse, people go through real hard times, and you can marry whomever you want.

Will not let me back out after I read Warren’s text message. I have been stuck on trying to get out of this for weeks. Thinking about deleting the app. Great game but not if I can’t play.

I literally can’t do the “prove Dana” thing because I couldn’t move in Victorias room and and there were people in Victorias room, which I don’t see in other people’s videos on this game. I can’t prove Dana’s innocence so I can’t complete the game nor episode 1. FIX THE BUGS PLEASE SO I CAN COMPLETE THE GAME!!

  • I have *ONE* complaint.

I don’t have the vocabulary to describe this game in a manner that will do it justice. Life is Strange is just that unbelievably incredible. I can say however, that it is one of the best, if not *the* best, games I’ve ever played. The reasons why are… difficult to articulate, but I think that it almost certainly deserved every award and 5/5 review it has received. I would have given it one as well, (a first for me) if not for two reasons: one, I am not convinced that there is such a thing as a perfect game; and two, episodes 2-5 are only available if you pay! I understand why that is so and, much as the paywall infuriates me, I can’t say that would have done anything differently. Still, if you ever have enough funds to do so, maybe make one or two more episodes available for free? I guarantee that it would make all of us who love the game, but lack credit cards, very, very, *VERY* happy. Thank you for reading this, and thank you so much for making such an amazing game. I hope that things will only get better in the future. With the highest respect, An anti-whaling part-time gamer.

I’m giving this a 3 because it was fun and strange I liked how you could use max”s power to reverse time and how you could have different endings I would have kept playing but you have to pay money to keep playing the first episode is completely free but after that you have to pay money to play episode 2,3,4, and 5.
