I used to love Godaddy. I even got photograph for their homepage once upon a time. But recently, the level of customer service and the issues I’ve had with their system has been atrocious. The fact that when I call for customer service, it does not recognize my account number. So I have to go back-and-forth with their AI robot answering machine for at least five minutes before I can even get to a representative is ridiculous. I also have had transactions that I cannot see on the app even though I know I’ve had transactions I have confirmations through the website that come to my email and yet they don’t show up in the transactions area of the app. It says I have zero transactions. I’ve called customer service and had them fix this and then I now still cannot see the transactions. their training on their customer service representatives has gone very low and when you ask to speak with a supervisor there often is not one on duty even though they offer 24 hour customer service. I also recently had a customer who could not even buy through my website because all of Godaddy had an issue on that 72 hour period were zero transactions could go through any of their online stores. I never got so much as an apology when I had a big name client trying to spend a lot of money that basically her credit card got refused multiple times and I had to have them. Venmo me, the cost of the service. Very embarrassing. Lastly, now I have sales that I’ve gone through my website but the people opted to use PayPal versus the website because it’s a faster transaction. PayPal has told me that Godaddy has changed their policy regarding third-party purchases through their website and for some reason now my clients are having their money returned to them because PayPal cannot get clearance through GoDaddy. When I call Godaddy most of the low line low level customer service representatives have no idea what I’m talking about about the shift. That change just says we went into 2024 and when I asked for a supervisor there isn’t one on duty. This is ridiculous.

I’d rather stick forks in my eyes than be a Godaddy customer

The equipment is good, the system is good, customer service. Tried to open the register today only to find out that all of our items and all of our settings were gone. Three hours on the chat with gentleman by the name of Ed, you know, Ed. He runs Go Daddy. He has no supervisor to answer to. He told me this three times so I’m sure it’s true. Three hours later Ed finally transferred the call to someone that was helpful and a half hour later we had our register back on. again, we like the product, but Customer Service is the worst

I have always sent vital feedback for the operation of this app without any response. (Continued glitches like no typing icon to see where you are typing) Designing a website with a tool on your phone has been a dream of since 1995. But when a company makes a product they should listen to their customers who use it every day and find the glitches within. Editing text copy is one of the most critical aspects of brand and when you cannot find or see the guide icon while editing you cannot accomplish your task. The text editing boxes are the most cumbersome item that needs attention. The blue prompt that indicates where you are going to type disappears or is not at all visible which makes it impossible to edit copy. Image control is also stagnant and has never seen an update. Placement and sizing is very limited and you'll have to compromise a lot. Overall I can get the job done and have a fairly good looking website that contains an ecommerce store and an email newsletter component that makes other services like Mailchimp unnecessary. Just wish Godaddy would stop making services and then abandoning them. Tech support is also outsourced to mostly incapable people that may or may not have the resources they require to give effective service. I am regularly calling back to find the last rep has mislead or given me the wrong information entirely and sometimes they just hang up. I have now resorted to just calling sales which is the main headquarter staff who resemble the old Godaddy quality of service and know what they're talking about. Every platform has compromise. Goadaddy is unapologetically average. But you have to work with them sometimes through aggravating situations like removing your business from the Internet because your charge card didn't clear. And them not contacting you prior to taking down your website and livelihood after being a customer for thirteen years. This is unacceptable business practice. But again, compromise. Is Shopify any better? Probably not. Good luck!

An apparent “5 star app” and i can’t even login. It just shows a white blank screen after clicking go to account. Tried hundreds of times and even updated and restarted my phone, what type of joke is this app???? Fake reviews??
  • Appointments/Bookings

Appointments need an overhaul. I should be able to pull up all of the bookings for a month per teacher or class. If I pull up transactions for the month I only get godaddy payments and it doesn’t include PayPal. To look at bookings I have to go to the specific time and day of class to see who is booked. It’s not cohesive and makes it difficult to see who has paid for class and who hasn’t.

I bought a Poynt card reader and the app won’t even give me payments options. I’ve tried calling support and they can’t help and defer to a “higher tier.” The higher tier just emails you a week later and says “we hope this issue has been resolved.” They don’t even try to help. Totally worthless!
